Filthy, German cockroaches, old, run down, loud, smelly, and rude.

I made the mistake of staying at Stay Suites in Orange Park on Wells Road. The initial greeting wasn't rude, exactly; just dry - not personable or polite. I booked a week. It wasn't expensive for the amount of time; but, when I went to my room, I learned why. The door was dented and had to be forced open, a dirty odor hit me as I entered, the kitchenette had food stains on the cabinets with doors that were all crooked and with different knobs, the T.V. was probably from 1975 and received about 5 staticky channels, the bed sagged, and the shower felt like a squirt gun. I'm pretty utilitarian, so I was prepared to tolerate this. I fixed the door myself, installed a better shower head, deodorized the room, and bleached the kitchenette, as I doubted any other room was better. On the third night, I saw two German cock roaches. I got a can of spray and traps from the nearest Home Depot, and dealt with that...or so I thought. People live on the lower floors full-time, and leave shopping carts around from the grocery next door. Cigarette butts litter the whole property, and the whole exterior looks like it might have been pressure washed 10 years ago. Roach spraying continued. I didn't complain, until I got a neighbor that blared their TV all night and had to yell to communicate over it. Then I asked the desk clerk to compensate me for the list. She said she would discuss it with the owner. When I returned to check on the outcome of that discussion I was told I would not be compensated and that I had to leave the following day.... That's when they became outright rude! But; hey, even though dial-up slow,...

WARNING-NO STARS(made me pick 1star)-NASTY & VERY UNSAFE. We booked this room online mostly for the cheap price & the fact that it had a kitchenette. We arrived at 1:30 am, to find the office closed and NO TOILET PAPER in the room. The office was never open late to get anything. The FOUL SMELL in the room made me nautious, and unable to air it out even with the door open. There were small & large roaches in the room, both dead and alive. The only thing in the room for dishes were 2 plates ,a few glasses, and a couple pieces of silverware. Nothing to cook with (pots or pans) which made the kitchenette pointless. Carpet smelled nasty and looked like it had never been cleaned EVER. The air conditioner smelled like mold. We started coughing and choking from the A/C and the room anytime we were inside. The bathroom was disgusting & looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all. I had a difficult time even getting clean towels or toilet paper from staff even during the day! They said they had trouble even ordering toilet paper & were not getting it from the company. The beds were really uncomfortable. There were other tenents screaming and fighting at all hours of the day & night both inside the rooms and out in the parking lot. The office wasn't open to stop the fighting at night either. My kids were shaking in bed terrified after hearing a girl threaten to shoot her boyfriend outside of our room. There were drug dealers coming through playing loud music at 3 and 4 am. Lots of drug traffic and activity day and night. I would give NO STARS & NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN EVEN IF IT WAS FREE! Not a place that was even remotely safe for myself or my children! This was the worst experience I've ever had...

We visited Pooler this weekend and had the pleasure of staying at a great hotel. Cottonwood suites savannah conference center. Was a pleasure meeting and chatting a bit in tge morning with Maya at the reception desk. At checkout inadvertently forgot 2 travel bags with makeup and recently bought important reading material. The following day when I realized my bags were missing I contacted the hotel and Maya helped by checking wit housekeeping and also informed me they found a pair of sneakers. . It was a courteous and polite effort of her. Going the extra mile and locating my missing items.||||The hotel is clean and well maintained. Conveniently located near 95 south ramp. I've read negative reviews from other travelers, don't quite understand why so many complaints in the all around hotel's maintenance. Thank God our experience was very pleasant. I will definitely recommend it to friends and family traveling near Pooler, Ga and will not even look for another hotel or a better deal in that area ||||Totally satisfied with the hotel and the wonderful staff. It's clearly how you enjoy your daily interaction with the hotel's guest.||||I always advice the next generation to work on something you truly enjoy.
