Pretty much you get what you pay for. We stayed here for a Saturday night in February. Hard to understand guy at the front desk, but he's nice I guess. The rooms were quite the disappointment. The first thing I noticed was the smell. Not quite like smoke. I can't describe it, just awful smell. It was clean for the most part, other than the furniture being very outdated, stains on the chairs and was afraid to sit on them. There's a bunch of random dressers but no night stands with lamps by the bed. TV was nice and big but hung pretty crooked on the wall and couldn't fix it. The lamp didn't have a shade so that was kind of tacky. I can't say if the sheets were clean or not. I saw a few crust spots and hairs...the king bed was pretty uncomfortable and firm. Pillows were flat. Probably won't be back here tbh. It's worth spending an extra $20 somewhere else.

People were smoking marijuana right outside the front door as we were walking in with our one year old. We then proceed to get into our room and my husband started checking furniture and beds to ensure no bugs. Thankfully he works for pest control so he knows what to look for. They had previously had a bed bug situation (within the last year) and to our biggest concern, they have German cockroaches - multiple dead baby ones and you can see the big one crawling on the wall. I have the video of it crawling however it won't let me upload a video, only photos. I highly recommend taking the few extra dollars and staying elsewhere. The staff were very nice and accommodating however they acted as if they had no idea when it is obvious that it's been a problem for awhile.

Take the extra $50 and check in elsewhere. The first room we received smelled like urine and cigarettes, unfinished paint job, dust on the computer chair, and splattered mystery juice on the walls. We moved to a second room since there is NO REFUND, although it smelled better, the walls were horrific and the entire shower fell apart. My favorite part of my stay was the new friend I made AFTER I woke up this morning. Safe to say I’ll be contacting corporate today and disputing my charges.

I chose this hotel because I was traveling with my dog, and the other hotels in the Gaylord, MI area did not allow pets. The good news is that the fee for my dog was $10.00. The bad news is that the hotel had several issues I found to be of concern.||||The first thing I noticed was that the outside doors were open to the public with no keypad for locked entry. This hotel is directly located near the entrance to Rt. 75 and has a lot of traffic through this area. It was alarming to me that anyone could enter the hotel day or night with no issue whatsoever. The room door had a deadbolt, but no additional lock at the top of the door to prevent entry. ||||Cleanliness was another area of concern. Although I saw no bugs in the room, I did see a large number of ants in the hallway. Although the sheets appeared to have been laundered, there were visible urine stains on the sheets. The towels also looked dingy and dirty, and I did not feel comfortable using them. The bed was uncomfortable, as were the pillows. There were no tissues provided and only 1 very tiny bar of soap. The room had a strange odor, and the walls were so thin that I could hear every word coming from the TV in the adjoining room. ||||Even though this hotel is “pet friendly”, there are no outdoor trash cans or bags to pick up dog waste. Most pet friendly hotels provide both of these items to help keep the hotel grounds clean.||||I was so anxious to leave the room that I departed very early and did not eat breakfast, so I am unable to comment on that amenity.||||There are enough issues with this hotel, that I strongly recommend searching for another location to stay at. I certainly will not be staying...

Unfortunately the whole experience was rotten. Upon arrival their was no visible parking lot. It was a big packed down snow free for all. we were there with our wrestling team who were looking forward to soaking in the hot tub and swimming in the pool after a tough workout. The pool was closed. Asked for a discount and found out the front desk guy wrestled a year but quit due to injury, he did not know the pool was broken cause he had been gone to "school" the last two weeks, he was going to be a film maker and shoot his first movie in two weeks, so he did could not let us know it was broken......needless to say NO DISCOUNT! Their is no common area to speak of, no breakfast area, a small counter top with coffee and a microwave and lies about breakfast. The whole place needed to be painted, vacuumed, cleaned, new sheets and linens are needed badly! Ours were stained with what appeared to be blood. There was a huge burn spot on the nightstand of which we do have a picture. I accidentally brought two conditioners and needed shampoo, my daughter had to go to the front desk to get some and when she brought it to me it appeared to have been something someone left behind, it was open with crusty stuff around the top. We would have left and found a place to stay that at least had what they claimed to have except for the fact we were there with a group. I did try to find the pool but could not see it cause the windows had been covered up. What I did see was a rusted entry door with the carpet on the way out...

When we first got to the hotel they messed up our reservations did nothing to fix them, The worker was not friendly at the front desk not helpful , (the workers are all foreigners and don't speak total English) they only give out one card for a room to get into your room when you walked in the hotel all you could smell was bleach or chlorine but there was no pool. Our room had food smeared on the wall by the window all the furniture was outdated including the bed , bedding was not in good shape The sheets and the blankets were very dingy not well kept. The bathroom had paint chipped from the wall and totally missing in spots the hair dryer when you plugged it in it blew a fuse after about 2 minutes and then you had to wait about 5 minutes for it to work again. They had a rag around the water supply to the toilet where it was leaking. The outdoor property was not well taking care of we picked this hotel cause it was dog friendly when we took our dogs for outside time to use the bathroom we had to be careful that they did not step on any metal or old piping that they had just thrown in the back The landscaping was very uneven there was holes in spots . We were told they offered continental breakfast once we got there we were told no because of the covid 19 there was caution tape blocking off the area to where they would have offered breakfast they didn't reimburse anybody for that... I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anybody I know. The rooms are not handicapped accessible, as they...
