Needs new management YESTERDAY. I’ve stayed here twice. The first time was a very pleasant experience. We had an amazing time, minus not having A/C. The second time we stayed here was just last week & holy cow was it such a different experience. Not to be rude, but the woman at the front desk had absolutely no idea what she was doing & she was flat out rude. I myself work in hospitality & I would never have someone who was just so unpleasant, work w/ the public. We were so frustrated just w/ the boat docking process that we were ready to just cancel our reservation & leave. Then came the boat slips. We asked for a boat slip & the woman said “you don’t need one, just park it wherever you can find a space.” We get back to Check in at 3 & a new woman (who I believe was the owner) says “we just need you to move your boat, let me give you your slip & show you where to park.” Totally fine but we did inform her that the women working that morning told us we didn’t need a slip. Once we got to the room, more disappointment. Due to COVID we had to provide our own bedding (which we did). We walk into our room & it smells like mold, the beds had nothing in them. Not even a mattress pad for sanitary precautions. We called the front desk & she apologized & gave us mattress pads to put on the beds. The room was not clean. It was evident that no one had been in there for months. There were cobwebs EVERYWHERE. About a half an inch of dust on everything. Overall, we did not have a good last experience here. I would for sure be investing in some new...
Read moreI don't quite know what I was expecting. This particular marina had been suggested to me by a family friend who stays during the motor cycle stuff in Laconia in June... So I decided to give it a shot.||First off, the room looked as if it hadn't been updated in at least 40 years. I was clean but don't go looking for anything modern. Rooms come with a sliding patio door which will lead either to the pool or right out on the beach depending on what room you booked (along with chairs on your concrete patio).||There is no air conditioning and it does get hot in the middle of summer. The room comes with a fan but you can't move it since there aren't many outlets. You basically can't have the lights, tv and fan running at the same time if you have a phone plugged in. There was also no wifi available.||The pool is clean and relatively large. The beach is nice and provides chairs so that you don't have to lug your own around. While I did not have a boat, it appears like it is simple enough to launch. ||We were told that people only got 1 parking spot per room so if you are meeting up at the motel to share a room with a friend, make sure you only have 1 car.||Staff was friendly enough and willing to give out as many towels as you required. ||There is a little strip mall with a restaurant within walking distance but you will need to drive around for anything else.||Overall it was fine but I don't know if I would spend more...
Read moreOk so, there are pros and cons to this place, but unfortunately for us the con is too important so we will not be back.||||Pros: room is very clean, good staff ready to remake your room early if you want, big pool also taken care of, water is clean but doesn’t stink of chlorine. The rooms are right on the lake which is warm and has a great beach area thats kept up well and has umbrella tables and chairs available. The motel is right across the street from the concert pavilion so no need to pay for parking - just walk over. We brought a small grill and put it outside our patio for burgers and hot dogs. This was all perfect.||||Cons: No Air Conditioning! Rooms are supplied with oscillating fans. We completely boiled in the room the first night and baked in it the next day. There was no way to escape from the heat. Even tho you have the pool and lake, the sun is still on top of you. The rooms are a heat box in the summer. So, because of the discomfort with that one thing, we wont be back. If you are able to withstand the heat like that, then the rest of the motel is really pretty great. Its just...
