Just got back from our week long stay we went with 4 other families and we had sites in a row and across from each other. Bathrooms and showers were great, we stayed on the premium sites and loved not getting so dirty, perfect location for the dunes and got to see fireworks and hear the band at VAL Du Lakes. Lasted year the campground we stayed at drove around and just sat in roadway waiting to tell us to quiet down. Love this place I have a reminder in my phone so we can make our reservation right when it opens

2023 review: Fantastic staying here again. Still a very clean facility, and cool to see how much they've expanded since 2021. We got to stay at our favorite spot by the pond again. The gated overflow parking is a great option to store our car trailer while we stay. 2021 review: They finished the second bath and shower house. Clean facility, they have nice fire pits. I like our camp by the pond, #77. 2020 review: It's still under construction, but I think its a very nice facility. Won't mind staying there again.

Best campground in Silver Lake Sand Dunes area! Nice , level, large campsites with great options. The rules are not overbearing and ridiculous, and because of this..everyone is respectful, easy going, and pleasant! Only con- price for renting a camper on a site is way too expensive vs. staying at a hotel with all the same amenities. This would have been my first option over pulling my own camper and renting a site, but could not justify the cost of renting the campground-owed trailer ($250+ /night)

We camped here from Monday 7/29 until Saturday 8/3. The campground was clean. The new showers and bathrooms were very nice and clean. The last time we stayed, these were still under construction. I was disappointed to see so many trees have been cut down. Our site backed up to the new area under construction and we were just looking at a bare open field. The pool was closed all week. They drained it and refilled it. People were finally able to swim Saturday morning as we were leaving. There is no playground. My 6 year old was very bored. We found ourselves riding our bikes into town each evening for him to climb, swing and play on a playground. This will be a deciding factor if we ever camp here again. The wifi is pretty non-existent unless you are sitting at the tables outside the office in the direct sun with no shade. We do not have cellular signal in the area and really relied on the wifi for local weather forecasts to plan our days. We used the wifi to find local activities and events, to check times and reviews. We needed the wifi to make canoe reservations, get directions and find restaurants. The office staff said most people sit and the picnic tables in the morning and do their business. There is free coffee in the office that actually tastes good. They have a variety of yummy creamers too. I would still rather sit at my campsite and drink my own coffee while planning my day. The camp host was friendly and it was a nice surprise when he stopped by on Friday to see if we had any trash he could take for us. The campground was very quite and peaceful during the week but on Thursday night, things really started to liven up. Around 10 pm there were quite a few groups frantically setting up in the dark. The trucks and vehicles were loud and the trailers were large! Somehow they managed to get done and quiet down by 11pm. Friday night it was even crazier. More groups were setting up at the last minute in the dark. Trucks and trailers were maneuvering the tiny camp roads. It was loud and noisy. It did not quiet down at 11 pm this night, thankfully we were sleeping in a trailer with a sound machine. Saturday morning our young rowdy neighbors were busy preparing for a day on the dunes by bonging and drinking as many beers as they could. They filled 3 jeeps, cranked up the music and made a loud obnoxious exit of the campground. We were thankful to be packing...

Overall, the campground is well maintained, which is expected given the premium pricing of the sites. However, our recent stay brought up a few concerns that need to be addressed, particularly regarding the booking process and on-site safety.||One of the members of our group was moved to a different site after inadvertently failing to pay an additional $35 “site lock” fee. As a result, they were separated from the rest of our group, despite all 8 of our sites being reserved on the same day—4 under the same last name. This raises the question: Why is there an extra charge to guarantee the site someone already reserved? What is the point of selecting a site months in advance if it can be reassigned unless you pay more?||We were told by staff that the system automatically reassigns sites unless this fee is paid. Frankly, this seems more like a business decision than a technical limitation. It’s difficult to accept that the staff "have no way of knowing" when a site reassignment will occur, especially when a group reservation includes multiple sites clearly tied together by the same last name. For the premium prices being charged, this aspect of the booking system feels both frustrating and unfair.||Additionally, we noticed a strong emphasis by staff on vehicle tag compliance—something understandable but perhaps overly enforced—while other, more pressing safety issues seemed overlooked. Throughout the week, a very young, unsupervised girl (approximately 7 years old) was frequently seen driving a golf cart in an unsupervised, unsafe and erratic manner. There were also several young children riding electric mini bikes at high speeds through the campground. This created a safety concern for those of us with small children playing nearby.||We’ve stayed at this campground multiple times and typically have had positive experiences. However, something seems to have changed recently—unfortunately, not for the better. We hope management will reconsider some of these policies and practices to ensure a more transparent, fair, and safe experience for all guests...

We’ve camped here in the previous years, had fires, played some corn hole, hung with friends outside because that’s just what you do when you camp...NEVER had an issue! This year we went and the first night there we were told to stop playing corn hole at 11pm or so which is fine...we told her we were just wrapping up the end of the game and we stopped.. maybe not even 5 min later (bags can get loud and sound travels!) so we get it! The corn hole boards have LED lights around the hole (not super bright to where they light up the sky or campsite) they came over and told us to turn the lights off (we were totally confused since her place was lite up super bright) not any other lights, just those lights! Then proceeded to harass us throughout the weekend, called us disrespectful for not stopping at that very second and literally called the camp owner to call and threaten us! Accused us of being disruptive and using heavy profanity(it was not us..there were other sites awake and ones close to us were louder, but not bad for us to even say anything consider sleeping children) and we were quietly sitting by the fire...we had to be.. all of the children were in bed including a 6 month old and one person was working on a laptop! We walked to the bathroom to see if we could hear anything and the only people we could hear were other sites ...not even ours! We’ve never had these issues camping..EVER... we’ re not wild and crazy whooping it up! It’s very quiet here so if you want to sit up past 11pm and have a drink by the fire and listen to some music(very, very low) I wouldn’t recommend it! Nice grassy sites and beautiful campground just not hosted very well! The camp host did inform us in the beginning that she does like to walk around and drink with the campers, but not the case here! I yet have to call the owner because I feel she was very nice and understanding and I would hate to see this place get bad reviews because of...
