Let me start by saying I used to love Hilton up until this experience. We are Diamond Members which means we use their hotels A LOT. |After watching our son play tennis, we decided to stay in town at Hilton Garden Inn. They didn't offer room service but they had a very cool rooftop restaurant that we decided to go to. We ordered wings, an Arnold palmer for my husband,(he hasn't had alcohol in 16 years) and a glass of wine for myself. The server took approximately 20 minutes to bring our drinks but after I waved to him that the drinks were sitting at the bar he brought them right over. NO BIGGIE. A lady who was super talented was |Playing the guitar and we were having a nice time.|After about about an hour I ordered another wine and asked the hostess if we could sit near an open fireplace because it was a bit cold. She said yes and we went closer to the performer and near a fireplace. Perfect! After another 2 hours I had ordered a margarita but it wasn't to my liking so I asked my husband to get me another chardonnay. |As he got up, the hostess put our bill down and stated that we were cut off. We were confused! My husband, hoping for clarity, went to speak (politely) to the bartender and ask what had happened. It was obvious to us both that there must have been a mistake. The bartender yelled at my husband that he had been serving my husband all night! That we were drunk. My husband, like I said, does not drink. And in over 3 hours there were 3 drinks on the bill! All mine and one of which was never drank. |My husband told the bartender that he |was mistaken and that he has been sober for 16 years and also as a diamond member expected some clarification.|The bartender MOCKED my husband's sobriety saying "yeah, we are all sober! And we are ALL diamond members! Haha!"|I was mortified. Absolutely, positively humiliated. We could not order dinner to go and were KICKED OUT!! To add insult to injury, as I was walking out the bartender grabbed my arm to push me along.||After we got to our room, my husband went down to speak to management but he was put aside because the cops were there to stop a bar fight up at the rooftop bar!! Ding ding ding! There were the culprits!! ||Hilton reached out, apologetically, and said that they did indeed finger the wrong couple, but the damage was done.||I will never go there again. EVERI We will open a Marriott credit card and never look back at Hilton again....
Read moreBeautiful, immaculate hotel! One of cleanest hotels I have visited!! Excellent facilities and friendly staff. This was my first visit to this hotel, located near Beautiful Santa Barbara and the Santa Barbara Airport. The hotel is located in Goleta, convenient to numerous shopping and dining options. The hotel is well maintained and appears brand new. However, after inquiring at the front desk, I learned the hotel is actually five years of age. Nevertheless, the hotel facilities and guestrooms feel, look, and even smell new! All of the hotel's common areas, including the lobby, registration desk, pool and convenience area is totally immaculate. The hotel is nicely landscaped and well appointed and furnished. My guestroom was quiet and comfortable. It seemed a little larger than the average hotel guestroom. My guestroom included modern, upgraded furnishings and decor, including a mini-fridge, microwave, comfortable bedding, large work desk, and convenient reading lights for reading in bed (a true luxury for me!). Although I didn't get a chance to use the pool, it looked very clean and refreshing. The hotel has a roof top restaurant and lounge, which my colleagues report being very nice. Unfortunately, due to a private event the evening of my stay, I didn't get to experience it. If you're traveling without transportation, as I and my colleagues, there are numerous restaurants and shopping options within walking distance of the hotel. Due to the private event at the hotel, my colleagues and I visited the Chili's located across the street. Finally, the hotel registration staff was excellent! Upon arrival and departure, the front desk staff was efficient, professional and extremely friendly. I am a huge fan of the Hilton Garden Inn brand, and this hotel is the epitome of a superb, comfortable, ...
Read moreI want to share the worst most HORRIBLE experience I've had with Hilton hotels. The assistant general manager Stella, is I a racist, mean, rude and unapologetic human being I've encounter. She went out of her way to make my son and myself feel like criminals when we check in the Hilton Garden Inn hotel where she calls herself the assistan manager. She billitel, yelled, accused and demanded we show proof of a reservation my son had under the team members plan. To the point of accusing my son of trying to take advantage of that plan when all he wanted to have his parents come and visit him at school. She kept us at the front desk interrogating my son about the reservation he had made and nailing him on how that works. PLEASE DON'T STAY THERE, she overcharged my son from $98.00 dollars to $678.00 for two nights that we didn't even enjoy because of how she had treated us. I called the hotel she refused to give our money back and instead charged us more!!!! Corporate if you read and care about Hilton Hospitality please take her out of the front desk. She doesn't represent the Hilton brand at all!!!!!!!!! To be a assistant general manager and to treat people, customers how she treated us is Unacceptable!!!! Get rid off her or move her somewhere else and have a meticulous training course for her on Customer service!!! Again, Corporate please do something about Stella Han she doesn't deserve to be called Assistant Manger!!!!!!! She never apologize after I called and complained about the General manager there Garret also did do anything to help me. Again, if you stay there she will treat you...
