This is a fairly standard Ross with a fairly large floor space, and expected Ross pricing of a moderate amount below local MSRPs. To that effect, this is a good place to go to find clothing items, dog beds, dishes, or other miscellaneous items which often have some minor (frequently unimportant) flaw for reduced pricing. At this Ross, however, I have had a couple negative encounters with employees which leads me to offer a lower rating than average for such a store. The primary issue I have is that after coming out of the changing room, I returned the items I did not plan to purchase to the dressing room attendant, and she looked at them, scoffed, and told me next time I had to hang the items again. First off, is that not literally the changing room attendant's job? Secondly, there was no need to be rude. Finally, I am a size 46 waist, and while I am vaguely familiar with how they tuck/fold pants to make them fit on those hangers, I by no means do it well enough that I would want me to be hanging the clothes I'm shopping through. The second major issue I have with this Ross, which ties in to the previous issue, is that more of their clothings sizes are mislabeled than are labeled correctly it seems. Of the 6 items I took to the dressing room to try on, 1 fit. The rest were definitely nowhere near the size which their hanger indicated. The mens bathroom has been relatively gross on both visits to it, with puddles of "water" on the floor, as well as tp. I know some guys are gross and destroy the bathrooms, but it is still the stores responsibility to keep it clean, and puddles of water (it didn't smell like 100% urine) near the toilet are quite probably the result of poor mopping/cleaning practice, or overflowing toilets which are not addressed, rather than something a customer did while using the restroom. The check out line generally has 6-10 or more people in it, but moves along fairly swiftly with the staff at the counter and at the doors (greeters) all being friendly. The clothing is generally toward the trendy side with lots of nylon type materials, and collared shirts. I have been unable to find any plain (not sports affiliated or undershirts) cotton Ts, or cargo / non-dress slacks which are in my size, or even near my size. If you don't mind wearing sports sponsored clothing, there were a number of Ts of that nature. I did find a few collared shirts which fit me well, and a pair of casual slacks style shorts which fit also. There was a wide ange of dog beds for much cheaper than at the local pet stores, and the entire housewares section seemed well...
Read more1 cashier working and she is VERY VERY SLOW. 9 people waiting in a line that is not moving at all. Several employees walking around the store doing literally nothing - talking to each other. No manager or supervisor around. Tried to call the store to speak to missing leadership - the lone cashier had to stop to answer the phone and I was just put on hold for 2+ minutes before I hung up. Finally another employee came and opened another register and started moving things along but by this point there were 14 people waiting and the line was wrapping through the woman's section. I asked the 2nd cashier where the manager is and was told he is busy doing more important stuff. That's POOR leadership. Manager is salaried and is expected to actually care about customers having a good experience and potential returning to the store. He also should care about his employees getting completely overwhelmed. He should have temporarily stopped what he was doing and helped his employees - whatever he was doing is NOT more important than the customers or (retaining) the employees. He is a salaried employee so if he has to work 10 hours today to promote success, then he works 10 hours. This, BTW, is a Monday morning about 10:30 ... when most people are at work or school, not a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. The store wasn't busy, just VERY SLOW and obviously doesn't give a crud about customer experience. I will never return and definitely would...
Read moreI had a great time shopping since i usually dont go out often:( especially now because of the pandemic. I went two different days and the cashiers were very nice. Workers on the floor were very nice also. Luckily whenever i go i find some very nice items:) The previous cashier was supposed to give me 16 cents back with my change and she didnt have the exact change so she gave me a quarter. I wasnt thinking straight and i took it. But today i returned the quarter and explained what happened. I use to be a cashier when i was in high school so i know that if we had our register short it would come back on us. I didnt want for cashier to get in trouble for that. I cant wait to go back in the future:) I hope we dont get another shut down.
