Horrific experience, rip off, cheating and extremely rude manager!

I went there with my 2 adult sons and we encountered 5 friends there during happy hour. We sat at the table next to them and we removed the chair between 2 tables do we can talk between tables. We ordered our food, and obviously we had our own check. They charged us and the table with 5 friends a mandatory 23% tip “because we knew them, and we were talking between tables”

Our bill showed “cover:3”, and there was a mandatory 23% tip charge for tables with more than 6 people!

When we complained, the manager was very rude and told us “he can charge anything he wants, and that’s it!” He even yelled at us.

After long discussions they reversed the charges…

We will never go there again, and managers like this should not be allowed in places like this.

Shame on you Hilton!

Total rip off, rude and extremely impolite manager! This was enough to ruin our day…

Below is the pictures of our bill for three, before and after correction (this was not a mistake, they resisted to change, because we knew the people on the next table and we were talking to them). Also the last paragraph on the menu showing the mandatory charge rule of 23% tip for more than 6 people! We were 3 as indicated...

We heard this was a lovely little place to enjoy a meal while watching the sunset across Santa Barbara orchards. We were not disappointed! We arrived just before dusk, sat by their fireplace with mai tais. Dinner was fantastic! They had salmon on the menu so I asked for a side of grilled asparagus. It was perfection! They should make it a regular dish! My family enjoyed their soft tacos and chicken ceasar. Above all else was the service. Our host, Victor bent over backwards to make our evening special and checked in regularly to see if we needed anything to make the meal better. (I've eaten at many places but rarely had such genuine care.) We will definitely come again, for the food,...

Disappointing experience. Reservation was made for 5; tried to move to 6 to avoid the heat, but was told that was unavailable. Arrived to 1/3 full place with all shaded spots taken. Placed on outdoor bench seating with no cushions even though the chairs are made to have them. Cocktails ordered were over priced, took 15 minutes to arrive, and were horribly bitter. French fry app was crispy but had nearly two tablespoons of oil in the bottom of the container. Tacos both veggie and asada arrived luke warm and tortillas were so soggy they fell apart when picking them up. Left at 6 to a still near empty place wondering why the reservation could not...
