Super 8 by Wyndham Grants — Hotel in Grants

After being on the road for 2 full days, we decided to drive an extra 2 hours from where we were first going to stop, to stay at this hotel because of the very reasons that they are pet friendly and have a hot tub thats open till 11pm. Before booking, i read a review about someone in a similar situation, who was very upset about the hot tub not working so i called the hotel twice at separate times just to make sure that the hot tub was working and both people i spoke to said that it was so we went ahead and booked it! At check in, we found out that it was broken!!! I explained to the front desk clerk that i called twice to confirm it was working and she said that no one called her but she had our reservation on file….. not sure who i spoke to on the phone, maybe Corporate or a Call center that helps with reservations, but i strongly recommend that management inform them or update their website about “Out of order” Amenities so they dont keep misleading guests! Of course it being 10pm, it is what it is and we just wanted to go to the room and relax.

We got to the room, it was nice and the bed was comfortable, then turned on the tv that worked for about 5 min and just lost signal, we also noticed That we had no TP… using the phone in the room, we called the front desk and just got cut off- this happened 3 times!! Finally my Boyfriend went downstairs to get Tp and let her know about the tv and phone not working…. Bed bugs! Multiple bites all over my husband's body. Luckily, he was able to catch one. I don't care how cheap or cozy they claim this place is...it's not worth bed bugs! UPDATE- My company was refunded which does me no good when I'm covered in bites. When I took the bed bug to the desk, I was told that when the manager got in at 6am that morning, she would contact me. I was never contacted so I decided to call the hotel and when the manager answered, her excuse for not calling was that she didn't have my number....even though they got my number at check-in. I told them to wash my clothes and dry on high heat. When I dropped off my clothes the employee was extremely rude and took my clothes. When I picked up my clothes, they were in a tied bag so I grabbed them and checked out. Once getting to the CLEAN holiday inn across town, I opened my bag of clothes and they were all still wet as though they'd never even been dried. So I had to take them to be washed and dried AGAIN the correct way. Bed bugs may be anywhere but I'd sure hope other hotels do a better job of accommodating their customers when all I asked for is my clothes to be washed and specifically told the manager I didn't care about the money being refund because it wasn't going to change the fact that I had already been bit multiple times. I've worked on the road for 4 years. So for 208 weeks, I've stayed in various hotels/motels all across the United States and this is the first time I've ever been bit by bed...

Mainly 2 stars cause thats its rating which i totally get. The door from outside doesnt close properly . you have to really push to close it. The shower wall has peeling what ever its covering is. The drain is loose and doesnt stay in place. The bed or drawers had no extra blanket for the bed and i was cold. Pool was closed and no breakfast, not even a bag to go. We had 4 people but had 2 towels and more were refused when we asked for extra. The biggest 2 rating is there 50.dollar deposit. When we checked out we were told room smelled like smoke. To me that sound like their way of fleecing customers. Yes, all 4.of us are smokers but we arrived at 4am. All we wanted was a bed. We even took a picture of the ashtray, which is located right outside the door of the room we had. They claim the room smelled of smoke. I went to our vehicle when i woke to grab my bag to shower and smokes part of a cig while i walked. The other 3 stood outside our door to smoke. The partial cig i had left i placed on top of dresser as i made coffee. None of us smoked in that room but we didnt get our deposit back either. Im 61 years old. Remembering the way rooms used to smell and now. I like the now. Smartest thing lawmakers did was restricting areas that smoking is prohibited. I guess believing customers that respect and follow your policies and rules just take it in the shorts. Dont bother it is unfriendly and money hungry. It is easy to get to...
