We stayed here last week. We enjoyed ourselves and the close proximity to Evansville and Fairfield/Geff ...

First off, Maddie was awesome, both phone calls she made to me were very pleasant. She was very informative and helpful. There was a younger girl when we checked in, who was also friendly. I can't remember her name though. (SORRY! You mentioned you had just moved here within the year I believe?)

My parents wanted to meet up with us to be able to see my brother for his birthday. Long story short, we agreed, it's worth coming back to. .We do not own anything new, we ran into issues before where some Campgrounds have been Judging ECT. This campground did not discriminate or anything. We had a VERY good experience apart from some other KOAs.

We arrived late. There was not a sign at the road like most KOA'S I've seen. There is plenty of room to get into the drive way though. Also, if you manage to hit something here (ANYTHING!) You just simply need to hang the keys up.. There is ample space to maneuver.

Upon arrival we stopped in one of the two stalls they said to park in whenever we arrived. Since we were a late check-in we needed to go to the double doors and grab the site map from there. Showed us directly where our spot was, a very spacious pull through with ample room to pull in and get situated and straightened out.

Electricity was stable, water pressure was pretty good. The sewer was a little bit far up for us to be able to reach though.

All of the picnic tables and the entire property seemed like they were pretty well maintained also. Grass areas were also nicely taken care of. We wanted to use the dog area, but didn't get a chance to. We kept them at our site throughout the day. My only complaint, it's all open 100% so the sun was facing us directly at sundown. There was also not a whole lot of privacy at the sites. Maybe some shrubs or bushes could be put in, in the future? Over all, site was pretty well maintained.

When leaving, the sites lay out pretty well forces you to go out, one way. Again, they have ample room to maneuver, if you hit something here, hang your keys up.

All in all it was a very good experience at this KOA. We for sure will be back at some point. Hopefully towards the beginning of July for the Wayne county fair.

The KOA provided an easy off and back onto the interstate access. Highly recommend if you just need to stop for a night or two, or if you would like to meet up with family. I didn't find to much for shops as far as tire repair goes. We had an issue with one on the way in, and wanted to get it looked at.

THE ONLY DOWNSIDE IS I DID NOT SEE OR HEAR ANYTHING...

I can not review the camping area as I did not go camping or stay in a room. Honestly, I'm not fully aware of everything that is at this location. However, I went to the restaurant The Smokin' Pig. I was excited to see they had fried pickles, so I had to try them. A warning if you do get fried pickles and jalapeño poppers to let them cool off! The cream cheese landed on my hand, and it was so hot it left a red mark. Also, if you don't let them cool off, you will not experience the full taste of the appetizer. My first bite of the fried pickle and the pickle slid right out, which was a disappointment because I wanted the pickle and the seasoned crunch at the same time. Anyway, I was told that this was a good place to have a steak, and I was hesitant after finding out they only have ribeye. I was hoping for a filet. My friend ordered the 16oz ribeye, and I decided on the spicy honey bourbon chicken. I did try a bite of the ribeye, and I wasn't impressed. It was actually bland. It needed more seasoning and char to really give it that grilled flavor. The chicken was tender and paired with the sauce very well. I also had maccaroni and cheese, which I did ask if it was in-house. It is not a knock-off brand, but it sure did taste like one. I was expecting a warm, gooey, creamy maccaroni, and it was dried out. I added A1 sauce to it to help add moisture. The sweet potato fries were chewy as if they were frozen. So the staff are nice, but what threw me off was that the theme at the restaurant didn't match with the staff. I just thought if you're really selling the old time western kinda thing, the staff would be dressed in the attire. I just thought it would be more fun that way and possibly more entertaining than people wearing normal clothing. The restaurant itself was ok, with lots of seating, a cool bar, the bathrooms are neat and clean. I don't mean to be a Gordon Ramsey, but if you look around, the place could use a dusting before it falls into your food. Side note: the barrel tables for seating would be beneficial if the top moved around like a Lazy Susan so everyone around the table could reach the condiments and such. I might give this place another try, on a different...

Family destination park! We stayed as monthly campers for the summer and didn't want to leave! We love the area and the people are amazing! This is a very family oriented place and is extremely welcoming. The campground has a dollar store, a hardware store with camping supplies, and a truck stop less than a half mile away yet is still very quiet with little road noise. The campground itself has a small gift/necessities store, an ice cream parlor, family game room with two digital shooting galleries, a play ground, mini golf courses, a pavilion, rocking chairs to enjoy and game tables. It will keep kids and kids at heart entertained for sure. There is also the "saloon" which has really good bbq (pulled pork nachos - our fav 😍). The camping spot locations are so easy to set up as they are all wide and long pull throughs with full hookups as far as we saw. This campground was really thought out and planned for. There is a dog park and laundry facilities for the campers plus several full shower rooms with toilets and a handicap accessible shower room. They also have tent spots which are set amongst the trees and several nice rental cabins. They are expanding and it's a shame we had to leave before they completed it. Looks like they are adding more spots and possibly finishing their walking trail. Many campers, including us, enjoyed taking our fur babies out for evening strolls since the grounds are large enough to get your steps in for the day. And in true KOA fashion, they love celebrating every holiday. Here they have tractor pulled wagon rides and the kids train which is so cute to see all the kids waving as they go by. When we go back up that direction, we will definitely be...
