I was in the Greenville area to visit my girlfriend and some friends in the area, and since it was colder outside I decided to stay here again for a night after a positive experience in October 2024. Unfortunetly my most recent stay was a mixed bag. ||||PROS: ||||-Check in was fast, and unlike my last stay, the front desk clerk was extremely friendly, and provided me a reciept for my stay. That was very much appreciated. ||||-The beds were very clean. ||||-The price for my stay was an excellent value ||||-I requested a wake up call and the night staff was courteous when I asked. I recieved it at the time requested. ||||-The Housekeeping staff appeared to be extremely friendly, especially the woman cleaning on the 2nd floor in the morning of January 20, 2025. ||||CONS: ||-I was in room 212, and it did not appear the room was vacuumed thoroughly. As there was some debris and/or food crumbs all over the floor, especially near the beds and window. One of the beds had a napkin or toliet paper left behind which I disposed. ||||-The chair by the window had a large stain on it. While not a huge gripe, it looks like it could use some cleaning solution or a replacement. ||||-The bathtub appeared to be worn, with a small chip and some yellow spots visible. I did not use the bathtub/shower for this day so I can't comment on the water pressure. ||||-My key card stopped working to get to my room before I was ready to check-out. My card worked on the back entrance so it only affected the lock in 212. This happened around 10:30. There was no one at the front desk or lobby when I went down. And when I dialed "0" on their assistance phone as instructed, no one responded and I was there for 5 minutes. I ended up going back upstairs, and asked the housekeeper to let me in, and she was extremely kind and understanding. ||||-Check out was non-existent. Once again there was no one at the desk around 10:40 AM, and I was on a time crunch so I left my key card at the front desk and left. ||||Overall I got what I paid for and I believe I was there on an off night. However, I would advise to make sure guest rooms are throughly vacuumed before assigning them to guests at check-in. And for someone to be at the desk at least between 10:30-11:00...

And while I had the same experience with friendly staff of who I encountered with, and nicely cleaned beds, the room I was assigned (212) did not appear to be vacuumed throughly as there was debris/food crumbs on the floors by the beds and window and a napkin/toliet paper piece left behind one of the beds which I disposed. There was some maintenence issues with a stained chair and worn bathtub, my keycard stopped working to my room (it worked on the back door) just before I was checking out, and front desk staff was absent when trying to inquire about my key card and at check-out. And no response was made when using the Assistance phone for about 5 minutes. Thankfully a friendly housekeeper was able to let me in my room so I could get ready to leave. I believe I came on an off night and got what I paid for, but due to the cleanliness issues and minor annoyances, I am bumping down my review to 3 stars.
ORGINAL REVIEW FROM FIRST STAY: I stayed here for one night for Greenville University's Homecoming Weekend. Check-in staff was not the friendliest, but it was a quick process which I greatly appreciated. I was greeted to a spotlessly clean room on the second floor. I appreciated the quiet location, comfortable bed, and the friendliness of the night staff when I called to request a wake up call. Check-out was a smooth process as well, with a very friendly clerk. I would stay here again if I needed a place to crash for the night in the Greenville area...
Read moreMy fiance and I stayed here for the weekend because we were going to St. Louis. For the price, we couldn't beat staying that far away from St. Louis but it was that much closer going home the next day! When I made the reservations online, I didn't realize I had booked a handicap accessible room (oops). So the room was on the first floor about half way down the hall (in which we like first floor rooms anyway). For a handicap accessible room it was a good size room but the water pressure in the shower was to be desired. It did have a coffee maker, fridge, microwave and hair dryer. The tv could have been a little bigger but we didn't watch it that much. The hotel itself was very nice and clean, it did not have that cigarette smoke that most complain about. The breakfast area was a decent size and contained the common carb loaded breakfast items- bread, biscuits and gravy, cereal, yogurt, muffins, etc. The coffee was available at all times which was nice for those that can drink coffee at any time of the day. The hotel was not in a convenient location if you are looking to just stay around the hotel and find things to do. There was a McDonalds, Taco Bell, Casey's Gas Station down the road, Dollar General down the road, Love's Truck Stop, Huddle House reataurant, IGA store down the road, and a few...
