The waitress forgot part of our food, then when the bill came it cost $12.11 for a pancake, even though it was like $2.99 on the menu. They told us that they included his piece of sausage and a spoonful of blueberries on the pancakes in that cost. I don't know in what world a spoonful of blueberries, a pancake and a slice of breakfast sausage is $12.11 especially when my mom got the country fried steak breakfast meal which included the country fried steak, American potatoes and eggs, and was only $12.50. but the part that got me even more was the fact that they brought my bill and like I mentioned the pancake was $12.11 and the country fried steak meal was $12.50, and my chicken strip basket was $9.99. after they scanned my card and brought me my receipt to sign all of the prices were higher on what was on the after bill then was on the previous bill so they charged me more after I gave them my card to pay. Which pissed me off way more than everything else. The food was okay wasn't wonderful, my chicken strips were overdone to the fact that when I cut into them the entire piece of chicken slid out of the breading. And the sweet tea tasted like it had been left on the counter for a long time. First time ever going there and will...
Read moreThe only reason I’m giving this restaurant a 10/10 and not a 20/10 is because they were out of their French toast and pancake mix due to them being so busy they didn’t have time to make more! That’s okay, though, the waffle it was substituted with was light, fluffy, slightly crispy on the edges, and had a hint of vanilla that was absolutely delicious, so I can’t be too upset. My husband and I enjoy road tripping and along the way finding locally owned restaurants that turn out to be hidden gems, and this place is definitely one of them! They are everything Waffle House wishes they could be and more. They use a milkshake mixer to whip their omelets and the result is a delicious, fluffy omelette, like I’ve never experienced before. With a small town feel, great service and delicious food, Vickie’s Country Diner is a must stop if you’re looking for a good, home cooked breakfast,...
Read moreThis old school diner is a true treat for anyone who enjoys feeling like they're stepping back in time. Vicki is the diamond that is the centerpiece for her namesake place. With a menu that you'd expect from a diner, just know that the fresh ingredients are top-notch! Having said that, even with folks who have sensitive tummies, everyone in our group ate to our hearts' content! As we were roadtripping, we were happy to hit the road again but a little sad to know that Miss Vicki and her diner would only get farther from us in our rearview mirror. Even so, we hope to get lucky enough to end up at Vicki's again! Until then, we will think of all the folks we encountered here as we sip from our Vicki's mug that we purchased prior to...
