If I could give this hotel negative stars I would. This is by far the poorest excuse for a hotel I have stayed in. The first night coincided with the IT outage so we waited >1hr before they finally had security take us to our room and open the door and told us we needed to get keys in the morning. They never offered water or anything for the inconvenience which sure I get it happened everywhere and honestly I wouldn’t be upset except for the fact the security guard told us this happens on a weekly basis for them and clearly there were no protocols in place for this. Also, our credit card hold for incidentals was able to go through that night without issue, but they were unable to give us our room key. The next day our room was not cleaned though we were in there for a long time in the morning/early afternoon with our daughter taking a nap so definitely understandable. However, the following day our occupied sign was gone by 9:30 am, there was a housekeeper next door to our room when we left and we confirmed several times our room would be cleaned. We came back to our room not having been touched. My husband then went to the front desk to talk to them about this and get some fresh towels. Other than a halfhearted apology and no indication as to why our room was not cleaned, they had “just run given away the last towel”. Are you kidding me? There’s no more towels in the hotel? On top of all that, my husband had already had to go to the front desk because we came back to neither of our room keys working and the front desk clerk saying he had no idea why. As for the room, it had a very odd odor from the start. There were several things not broken or in disrepair from the fridge not staying cold to the vanity in the bathroom literally coming apart. The staff is incredibly lackadaisical and couldn’t care less about their jobs much less their customers. If you can stay anywhere else, do it and if you can’t, you’re better off sleeping in your car.

Oh, thrill-seekers and fitness enthusiasts, rejoice! Have you been tirelessly searching for that perfect blend of accommodation and a high-intensity step workout? Look no further, because we've found your dream destination! Welcome to the "StairMaster Hotel", where the parking is conveniently located in the scenic valley below, ensuring you start your stay with a heart-pumping climb. Who needs a gym when you've got the great outdoors and gravity as your personal trainer? But wait, there's more! Upon conquering Mount Driveway, you'll find the ground-level entrance is as accessible as a secret club in a spy movie—locked tight! But fear not, for this is all part of the hotel's exclusive fitness package, designed to help you smash those daily step targets with ease. And just when you think your adventure has peaked, you'll discover the epic journey to the elevator. Picture this: a majestic ramp, draped in the finest carpet, stretching into the horizon. It's not just a path; it's a pilgrimage for your calves and thighs, leading you to the holy grail—a 4-star elevator ride. Now, one might wonder, "How does one with a disability navigate this fitness utopia?" Ah, a question for the ages! Surely, the hotel's visionary management team is on the verge of unveiling their next groundbreaking innovation: teleportation, perhaps? Until then, we patiently await their genius solution.Doubletree, we applaud your commitment to our physical well-being. Who needs accessible entrances when you've given us the gift of eternal leg day?

The room was not clean and was not disinfected as stated on bathroom mirror. There was dirt on light switches, there was something all over door handle to bathroom which I ended up cleaning myself. The bar in the shower used to provide safety for guests, was loose and not tightly anchored to the wall as should be. There was a fake used eyelash on the floor with questionable stains on base board of beds. When crawling into bed, I realized that there was blood on the sheet and pillow. When we called for new bedding, the gal at front desk put us on hold and never came back. We had to call again and she was very short and rude. Her offer to move us to another room was declined as we were unpacked and ready for bed. Then advised that she didn't have another room to even offer us after all. When asked for someone to just bring up clean sheets, she was very rude and said she would send security. Security was nice and disturbed that there was blood on bedding, unlike the desk clerk who never even apologized for the inconvenience. Sorry to say that these and other issues have become a pattern for all double tree establishments we have stayed at, so strike 3...they are out! I would recommend making sure your vaccinations are up to date before you stay here.. Just saying!

NEGATIVES: Be prepared to climb up stairs and elevations. I have two bad knees, and this place is not set up like other DoubleTree Hotels. It's on a hill, and even from the parking lot to the lobby, you have the go up a flight of stairs with your luggage just to check in. Then, once you check in, some elevators only go to certain floors, or you have to walk up ramps or more stairs to get to other elevators which service every floor. Welcome cookies were hard/stale in a paper bag not sealed, carpets in hallways need trash pickup and steam cleaning. No microwaves in rooms?! What world is this? Should come standard, this is 2021...No 'satisfaction call' from front desk staff or checkup to ask if the room was decent upon check-in. Room 523 had a broken tub stopper which came off in my hand loosely when I went to raise the stopper to make the tub drain (it looks to have been broken for some time, maintenance needs to replace this). Setting the drain stopper on the edge of tub, I expected the water to drain during my shower: NOPE. It took over 30mins AFTER my shower for the tub to drain (serious slip & fall hazard for excessive water standing, maintenance needs to fully clear the drain, same draining issue happened for my husband, so it's a consistent issue). Toilet makes filling sounds every hour, which woke me up twice (maintenance need to check this, old tank?). Bathroom 'makeup/vanity' mirror only worked dimly on ONE setting: pretty useless appliance (maintenance needs to replace item). Oh! Don't forget the canister of tobacco dip left in the bathroom near the hair dryer, eww, no thanks. With the new CoVid standards of "housekeeping only by request", maybe they should at least have the housekeeping inspector go into the room after they clean to thoroughly inspect it. Desk lamp was a joke: dim as hell and not useful, get lamps with bright enough settings to read & work by. The concept of the bed I did not understand: we had a mattress, a fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet, flat sheet. Like, instead of investing in a duvet cover, they used 2 flat sheets to sandwich the duvet. Huh? Upon checkout, the front desk personnel did not care about my answer that it was NOT a pleasant stay when I called on the phone to checkout on 3/27/21, she was nonchalant and did not offer any resolution when I said it was not a good stay. POSITIVES: The clean bed, sheets, and mattress all being clean are the main reason I gave this 3 stars. The shower head was nearly "waterfall style" which offered different water pressure & spray, decent pressure. The female bartender who opened our wine we brought in the evening of 3/26/21 was helpful & polite & offered us glasses. The male maintenance personnel who was picking up the exterior trash in the morning wished us a happy Friday on 3/26/21. OVERALL: We should have gone to Homewood Suites like we...

Review of DoubleTree Hotel DTC for Business Travelers

The DoubleTree Hotel DTC is conveniently located near the heart of the Denver Tech Center, making it an ideal choice for business travelers.

Check-In Process

Be prepared for a potentially lengthy check-in process if you arrive during peak times. To avoid delays, call ahead to ensure your reservation is secured and your payment method accepted. I've encountered issues with my payment method on multiple stays, though these are typically resolved within 10 to 20 minutes.

Amenities

The hotel features two pools (one indoor and one outdoor), a small but functional gym, a bar, a restaurant, meeting and conference rooms, and ample onsite parking. Some guests have reported being charged for parking, though I have not experienced this.

Update: I was actually charged for parking. So I can validate that they do charge for this. This is a business expense for me, however I do understand the frustration of the other guests that have reported having to pay for parking. For the price of the rooms I would expect for parking to be included.

Rooms

The rooms are located at the back of the hotel, away from the conference and restaurant/bar areas. The rooms I reserve are spacious, featuring two queen beds, a desk, a television, a refrigerator, and a comfortable chair near the balcony. While the bathrooms are clean, they are on the smaller side but functional.

Each room includes a small coffee maker with cream, sugar, and Splenda provided. If you need a microwave, you can request one or use the microwave on the third floor.

Cleanliness and Maintenance The property is well-maintained inside and out, though some furniture shows signs of wear, which is typical for hotels. The rooms are cleaned daily unless you opt-out by placing a sign on your door.

Staff

The staff is friendly, courteous, and professional. They are always willing to assist with any issues or requests.

Dining

I haven't tried the on-site ZINK restaurant or room service, preferring to explore the nearby dining options. Note that breakfast is not included in the room price, a trend I've noticed with major hotel chains. The DoubleTree offers a buffet breakfast for around $20.

Pro Tip

Before booking, ask if there are any upcoming parties or events that might affect your stay. The hotel is good about informing guests upon check-in, but it would be better if they did this at the time of booking. I once stayed during a Halloween party in 2023, and the noise was so loud that I couldn't sleep until 3 AM, with fire alarms being triggered twice that night.

Conclusion

Overall, the DoubleTree Hotel DTC is a clean, well-maintained property with friendly staff and ample amenities. Despite minor issues, it remains a reliable choice for business travelers.

I hope you find this...

No hotel is perfect and the double tree is no exception to that. I will tell you what I liked and didn't like. I really liked the customer service, it was fantastic. My first stay here I was given a gift bag of cookies and bottled water, granted they give those to everyone but they also gave me 2 vouchers of complimentary breakfast after I mentioned that hotels don't really offer that anymore. When arriving to my room I noticed that the wall light was burnt out and needed a new bulb so I told the front desk and within ten minutes someone came to replace it. I was very impressed with the quick call to action on that. Also I like the Hilton honors app that you can make requests from and use the digital key which is convenient. A lot of other hotels are not that up to date on technology yet. Now for what I didn't like. The rooms are a bit dated with the ugly popcorn ceiling. They give you bars of soap for everything which is nice for the shower but annoying too wash my hands with. There's basically only 10 channels on TV that you get and 8 of those are fake news stations. There is no hot tub which was a bummer since all the other hotels have them. The wifi is okay except that it will sporadically kick you off to re-authenticate which causes a disturbance in my work. I'm willing to look past those dislikes as it is just me being picky. What I had a difficult time looking past was during my first stay, I was in a room that had very noisy cleaning maids. They came by at about 8am every morning and woke me up every time. I had the do not disturb tag on my door but it didn't matter cause they were talking very loudly on their phones with the speaker on. My second stay I chose a different section of the hotel which was a lot less noisy. However during my second stay I noticed the heater was really weak. I had it turned on to 80 degrees and it couldn't get past 72, while running 24/7. So my room was a little chilly for me but I was able to tolerate it. However if i I go back in the winter I don't think I will be able to unless they upgrade their heaters. The zink restaurant had some really good food but their service was terrible. They told me that their breakfast was open until 11am but refused me service when I tried to order at 10:30am. That was a bit disappointing but I'm glad that I had free vouchers to use there. Overall my stay was good. I stayed at a few other competing hotels in Denver and this was so far was the best one. My next stay I might book at a different Hilton that's nearby to see...
