We had dinner at Zink Kitchen tonight, for Valentine’s Day. They had a special menu. The service was one the worst I’ve ever had. It seemed there was only one waiter for the whole restaurant. First, we were waiting for our cocktails for pretty long time. Then we’ve got out pre appetizer course which was really nice and I thought it’s going to be a nice dinner. We had carpaccio with a slice of sourdough. After that we had to wait for 25 minutes for our first appetizer. But instead they messed up and served us a main course. We kindly told them that we are still waiting for the appetizer😑 3 minutes later we got them. We had snow crab bisque (this was delicious) and some kinda salad with nuts, cranberries and brie. The salad probably was the most boring in my life. I mean, I came to the restaurant and I expected something more than just a cheap mix greens on the plate. It looked like they plated it in 5 seconds. It was absolutely dry and had nothing in it. Just a cheap mix greens. We received second course before we finished the first one. The steak and scallops were alright. But still no wow effect. The dessert was ok too but definitely nothing special. I would put even 1 star for this restaurant but the good thing happened. The fish was cooked evenly but was just warm as if it had been sitting. My food did not taste bad and the presentation was nice.
If the restaurant helped out the bar or they used a tracking system to chart when people came to the restaurant and bar they could predict when to have additional staff on hand. Factors: convention that week, occupancy, season and factors that affect occupancy.
Also I would like to say thank you to Healen the other bartender that went above and beyond every time I was there. The other bartender was nice but seemed like he was overwhelmed. All he had to do is say " someone will be with you in a minute " it felt like he had blinders on.
If the restaurant staff worked with the restaurant as a team then they could have got orders out. I almost felt like I was in an episode of Hells Kitchen or Bar 911 combined. I wish this...

My husband asked our server how is the salmon and our server said “the salmon is like everywhere else.” Seriously??? He brought me wine in a dirty glass and disappeared. My husband went to the bar and asked the bartender for a clean glass. The bartender said we needed to ask our server. My husband explained that he would just pure the wine from dirty glass into the clean one by himself. And the bartender gave him attitude and refused to give him a glass. The restaurant is inside Hilton hotel. We are golden members at Hilton . We literally stay at the same hotel every time we are in Denver. And we are here very often. We spend money at this restaurant every time we stay at the hotel. And we honestly really liked that place for the atmosphere and always left generous tips for bartenders and I even advertised this place on my social media pages. Not anymore.
