UNIVERSAL FURNITURE STORE — Hotel in Gretna

This would be a five star review, but I absolutely hate when people say they will do something then don’t. My experience in the store was amazing. I loved Nadim. He was easy to talk to and very helpful. He even offered us some alternative options when we couldn’t find exactly what we wanted. The delivery was quick and professional. My problem came in when the delivery men left and did not take the boxes with them. I have purchased furniture from a number of places and they ALWAYS take the empty boxes. So I called to ask why was this not done and was told “we always leave the boxes because it takes up space on the trucks and they have other deliveries so it’s easier for them.” So I took from that inconvenience my customers instead of my driver. I explained to them that we in Mid-city only get trash pick up one day a week and we have to call to have boxes and big things picked up. Also as it’s been raining daily those boxes would be mush by time the men came to get it. I was told that someone would come yesterday at the end of the deliveries to pick up my boxes. Today that were still there and are now all over my driveway because of the amount of rain we have had from Thursday- Saturday. This is disappointing. I do hope to shop with them in the further but I do hope they will do better In this area. Don’t tell a customer you will do something and then don’t follow through.
