I don't know where to even begin it was a horrible experience in general between the waiting around for a suitcase cart and then being told there was only one cart for the whole hotel.I patiently waited around and ten minutes later I see the front desk worker by the name of Alison whispering to Christina ( another front desk worker) "OMG she can't just carry her bags" .I was disgusted when I heard her , so I then brought it to her attention ,on how rude and unprofessional it was to speak about a guest in front of them .she then offered me to have someone carry my bags to the third floor , I don't know why she just didn't do this from the beginning instead of causing so much confusion. The next problem I encountered was the picture I uploaded.,, Exactly! What is that on the toilet bowl seat? Well I called the front desk she came to the room because house keeping left for the day and she looked at it and claims it was rust, well like I told her weather it was rust or not it was unsanitary . I then proceeded to look around the bowl as I got closer I saw it was on the side as well and it had an odor a very foul odor .I called her back and asked her if she can please call someone to clean it up. She came 20 minutes later with a bottle of spray with a napkin she cleaned it herself with no gloves on. Now this is the same person making the coffee as well has handling our money..At this point I'm so disgusted with her "Christina" ,us paying customers should never have to go through this ever..This place I will rate it a 1 star only because I have to in order to be able to post this.Nobody should ever have to experience in the future. My advice if you are big on clealiness and professionalism think twice before staying here..I always travel and stay at the Hampton Inn and I never have dealt with these type of issues specially when they are a 100 % guaranteed hotel. The next morning the cleaning staff manager entered my room while I was asleep @7:48 am when I specifically had the Do Not disturb sign up, she woke me up and ask "where was the dirt" so she can clean it. I was so upset that she came in my room because I had the sign up. I asked her why did she enter and , she said she's allowed to , even if the sign is up .I then replied "no you are wrong" that's what the sign is for !! She then gave me a nasty attitude and walked out and SLAMMED THE DOOR. From the vibration of slamming the door my purse fell on the floor. I then called to report and inform them on to what had happened and , I was told that they truly apologize..never again will I ever return to this unsanitary facility that has a bunch of unprofessionals working here ,all they continued to do was stress me out between the check in issues of the cart, the wrong room we we're giving , hence the attitudes , the dirty toilet bowls and so on..The cleaning manager that slammed my door her name...
Read moreMy older in-laws booked a handicapped room for Friday through Sunday by calling the hotel because they wanted to ensure they got an accessible room. When they went to check in, they were put in a room and my father-in-law asked for tub accommodations. He assumed the room was handicapped accessible since that was what he booked. By the time they made it to the room, they realized it was not accessible. However, it was close to midnight and they were exhausted. During the night, they discovered my mother-in-law's wheelchair would not fit through the bathroom door since it was not accessible, so she could only use the bathroom with a huge amount of pain and difficulty since she had to try to get up and walk into the bathroom. I called the hotel today to try to fix this, and was put on hold for 35+ minutes and no one came back to answer the phone. My father-in-law also early this afternoon tried to address the issue, but the front desk attendant knew nothing and could do nothing. I called corporate customer service and found out through them the room was never booked as a handicapped room EVEN THOUGH HE CALLED THE HOTEL ITSELF TO MAKE RESERVATIONS AND CONFIRMED AT THE BEGINNING AND END OF THE CONVERSARION THAT AN ACCESSIBLE ROOM WAS BOOKED. Now, when the hotel finally answered corporate's calls (since they put me on hold and ignored me) they are saying that they can't do anything since they are fully booked. They are blaming my in-laws for not saying they needed a handicapped room, even though that is what was supposed to be booked, and that is what they thought they were getting. Apparently, they didn't complain early enough and loud enough for the hotel. I will be calling Monday to speak to the general manager about a refund, since apparently no one there today can process or apply any discounts or refunds. Staff needs at the minimum training, or more likely someone needs to be fired for getting the room type wrong, putting me on hold and ignoring me, and then trying to lie to corporate to get out...
Read moreHotel itself is pretty good. Clean, ,comfortable and close to everything you may need. Staff however is a different story. Especially one of them - Joey. We were there with my son's hockey team for a tournament. As healthy teenaged boys kids cannot spend their time inside the room. So they were socializing in the hotel lobby wearing masks and everything. I was not there at the moment but apparently one of the guests - an older lady - decided that they were disrespectful to her and brought it to the attention of Joey. Not giving it a second thought he decided to call security on boys and subsequently police. When asked by security what their last names and room numbers are boys gave that information to the security guys. Why not - they did not do anything wrong, right? Apparently Joey thought otherwise. Imaging my surprise when I heard a knock on the door and when I opened the door I saw two security guys pretty much telling me that I have to vacate the property. When I went downstairs there were several other parents there as bewildered as I was. When we asked to have the lady who started the whole thing there with us so that we could hear both sides of an argument - Joey flat out refused to do so and kept on telling that we have to leave. Finally - not being able to defend his side of things in any coherent way he backed down and we were left alone. However policy were already on the scene at that time and we had to explain the whole thing again. They were clearly on our side but could not just get up and leave given the pandemic and stuff. They did however tell Joey to go back to his desk and stop bluntly telling us to leave. So not a very pleasant experience overall. Although at the end everything got resolved to our satisfaction - not something we were looking for. When you pay hotel you expect to be treated right. Very unlikely we will stay at that particular...
