i had an incredibly disappointing experience in this store today. i went to do a return for my grandmother who has shopped here forever, not that this should have an impact on the way they treat their customers. the cashier was extremely rude to me throughout our entire 2 minute exchange. i came in 10 minutes before they closed, which i know is sometimes annoying, but i came in telling her that i just had a quick return and knew it would only take a few minutes. she continued to check her watch and act annoyed that i was there to begin with and then closed our exchange with yet another rude comment about how they closed at 5, even though i was on my way out and in the car at 4:53. because of this experience alone, i will only ever shop online or at another location.
as someone who works in customer relations, i was appalled. i have never let it be known that i am annoyed with a customer or that i have better...
Read moreI have been shopping at this Talbots and other locations for 20+ years and purchase the majority of my wardrobe here. I know many of the staff members including the manager Stephanie by name and they know me. I purchased a dress at the King of Prussia mall and did not have the opportunity to wear it until recently. I was told by a new employee that there was nothing they could do since I purchased this outside the window to return and she checked with the manager who would not help. I was not asking for my money back just an exchange for the same dress that was not defective. I was told that I would have to drive to King of Prussia and maybe they could help me? I was so disappointed in the customer service I received and will be...
Read moreI went to this location today to return something with my mother, and it was a terrible experience. The worker who helped us, which by the receipt I found out was Anna, was extremely rude. She was talking to my mother as if she were a child and was not a good representation of the store. One specific action of hers that really stood out to me was when she was asked a question by my mother she stood there and shrugged her shoulders. Shrugged. Her. Shoulders. After doing so she gave no other option or help. Let me just add, during the whole 5 minute interaction, she had an awful scowl on her face. Completely unprofessional and miserable. As someone who also works in retail, I could never imagine treating customers this way. Personally, I think Anna should know better than to treat customers this way at her age. Talbots, please hire...
