Panera Bread — Restaurant in Hanover Township

I rarely leave negative reviews, but enough bad experiences at this location in recent months has caused me to do so. I typically order online. If it's a single item, the pick up time is 5-10 minutes. This tells me that the food is pre-made & heated up when the order comes in. That's fine, because the food quality is pretty good and it's convenient. The problems start when you add extra items. The wait time can go from 5-10 minutes to an hour. I understand the possibility of staffing issues making a person wait longer, but how does adding 2 additional sandwiches, prepared the same way, add that much time? To make matters worse, when you arrive in an hour, your order is not ready. I have waited an average of 20 minutes over the expectation while 4 staff members talk amongst themselves at the counter. Last night was a simple order. It was ready quickly, but 2 cookies and the breadbowl from the "breadbowl mac & cheese" was missing when I got home. I even asked the counter worker if it was all ready & she nodded dismissively. This place is expensive for what it is, but it was my choice to go there. At first I gave one star but I’ll give two stars the food is always good. my issue is this is the second time I’ve been here and there’s been no Interne. I come to do schoolwork and enjoy food. I addressed it with the staff and the response was well we have it on our phone well when you have it on your phone and you’re not actually doing anything to function with the Internet of course it’s going to look like you have Internet but there’s no functionality and then the other person‘s response was well we’re getting Internet orders in well if you’re connected to a hard wire and a hard line yes you’re going to have the Internet your issue is obviously with your Wi-Fi. nobody cared to address it I understand it they’re short staffed I understand all the issues that we’re having currently in this climate but what I don’t understand poor customer service when i was respectful. This Panera has been a life saver this week! I work from home and my daughter has been home with a cold all week, so this will be our third day ordering Panera delivery from this location. Everything has been correct with all of our orders (and past orders from this location). Tuesday they were out of the macaroons I ordered on the app by the time my order went through. So they texted me and offered me something else, I said, "croissant or bear claw." They ended up giving me both free of charge, which was super nice since it happened to be my birthday and I was home taking care of an under-the-weather kiddo. Can't believe we just ordered lunch from there for a third day, but their cream of chicken and wild rice soup has been the perfect soup for us this week! Super friendly delivery drivers too!
