I wish I could give this place 10 stars! First, we were greeted late at night upon arrival by a kind gentleman behind the desk who made sure we were ok with a 2nd floor (stairs) room. He pointed out breakfast room and times and asked if we needed any of the free toiletries available. The room itself had a Keurig, comfortable bed and pillows, a fridge and microwave, and nicer than average toiletries provided. We slept amazingly well in our well-chilled room hearing only the hum of the A/C all night even though we were the first room at the top of the stairs. In the morning, breakfast blew us away (and I’m celiac so that’s hard to do). There were eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, breakfast sandwiches, fruit cups, yogurt, milk, coffee with regular and flavored creamer as well as stevia, pastries, breads (with Nutella and peanut butter/jelly), fruit juices, cereal, and other things I’m sure I’m forgetting. It’s rare that I can find anything to eat at a 2-star hotel, but not here! I was stuffed! Now comes the REAL show-stopper, though. We left the hotel around 6:30 am on our way back home to Colorado. Around 8:30 I looked around trying to find my book to read, and realized I had left it along with a whole bag of other items back in the hotel. I called to ask about it, and the front desk attendant went up herself to check. Sure enough, she found it. However, we weren’t really looking to make the four hour round trip back to the hotel to get it. I asked her if, at our expense, we could possibly ask them to mail it to us. Not only did they heartily agree, they footed the cost. Less than 4 hours later, I received a notification from the USPS that the package had shipped. WOW. I just can’t say enough positive things about the extraordinary service and how much I appreciated them going above and beyond. There’s a good reason this hotel has won many awards, and they deserve all of them. If we’re ever back this way, we will stay here without hesitation. It’s right off 90 and the price was right. Highly,...
Read moreIt looks like it is dated and you should not expect much, I know I didn't. But looks are deceiving. It was clean, everything in the room worked properly, I never had issue with water pressure or not enough hot water. The bathroom was clean, no mold, dirty showers, gunk at the sink/toilet, etc. I'm a bigger guy, 6'4", 275, so when I didn't have to get on my knees to take a shower was splendid and the towels were large and thick enough that I only needed 1 to dry off with. Usually it is 2 or 3 at hotels/motels. They also put plenty in the room, never had to ask for wash/hand/dry off towels. The rooms are turned everyday. Coming into fresh clean linens and towels after a long day is a pleasure. It really was an oasis in the desert, as there isn't much options around. There is a small refrigerator that has a freezer and cooler area, unlike most minis that it's all in the same area. The microwave is powerful enough but the controls are little difficultat the start, but easy enough to figure out. This is handy, as there are a few fast food options with in easy walking, but so is the Dollar General across the 2 lane road and an IGA grocery is just down the street pass the curve. All walkable. The only issue I experienced was that their laundry room for guest to use, 2 of 4 dryers and 1 of 2 washing machines (comercial grade & Speed Queen) were down. With the washer going down on my last night when I needed to do laundry. But that issue is easily resolved. If I'm in the area again, I will be...
Read moreAfter a horrible car accident outside Hardin, my daughter and son-in-law were brought to the Homestead Inn & Suites by a Montana State Trooper. I was at home in Minnesota and planned to take the first flight out to Montana to be with them. They came out of the accident well, with only a few bumps and bruises. They were, of course, extremely shaken and upset. The staff at the Homestead Inn & Suites, particularly April, cared for my kids with great compassion and kindness until I arrived much later in the day. She made sure they had everything they needed and that they were feeling OK. Their room (and mine, as I arrived that evening) was clean and comfortable. It was a quiet place for them to recover and regroup after the tragedy of rolling their car. I could not possibly be more grateful to April and other staff for making this experience much better than it might have been. If you are in the Hardin, MT area, please give your business to what for us became a home...
