I really wish I could give them 0 stars. This place is horrendous. Like others said, I also stayed here because it's close to the Xfinity Theatre.
When I went to check in, the first thing I noticed is that the front doors are open to the public (it was 1am, not like it was the middle of the day).
I walked in and the smell was overwhelming. It smelled like stale smoke and sweat.
The guy at the desk was busy watching the surveillance cameras. He looked up at me and then grabbed my ID (through the bulletproof glass as others have mentioned), and then got on the phone and called someone. I stood there for at least 20 minutes waiting for him to get off the phone and give me my room card.
Once I got the room card, I headed down to my room all the way at the end of the hallway (room 127) where there was another open door for the public to access from the outside.
My room door was already open, which was strange.
I hesitantly walked in and went to turn on the lights. The lights didn't work other than the bathroom light.
I tried to shut the room door and it wouldn't latch. I tried everything. I went down to the front desk, and the guy came down to my room to demonstrate how to close the door, which consisted of literally using his body weight to slam it shut. But it also didn't lock. He thought it was funny and kept just opening and slamming my door telling me "it will work 😅". After at least 7 attempts and a bunch of messing with the locks, it locked.
I just wanted to shower and go to bed since it was now at least 2am and I had a long drive back home that same morning.
I went to shower and noticed mold, a hole in the wall, and there was no hot water. The outlet near the sink had previously caught on fire and wasn't replaced, and that door didn't shut either. I decided to just go to bed.
Through the rest of the night, there were people coming and going, slamming doors, playing music, yelling, stomping around, etc.
I didn't even care that there was no breakfast in the morning before i left, all I wanted was to get out of there.
It's almost comical that the staff wear suits and ties, when this is absolutely, without a doubt, the worst hotel I've...
Read moreI wish they had a rating for 0 stars - I reserved this hotel through Hopper and when I arrived the hotel looked run down. I went to the front desk to check in but there was no staff there so I waited for 10-15 minutes with no success. There was no staff at the desk and when I tried to call the hotel no one answered. There was a girl in the lobby but she hadn’t seen staff and was not able to help. I decided to leave and continue driving since I was not able to find staff to check in. As I left the hotel a drug deal was taking place and I knew I was making the right choice to not wait any longer. I contacted Hopper for a refund and they tried to call hotel for a refund and were not successful either. It’s amazing to me that as a customer I was not able to find staff to check in and Hopper was not able to even reach the hotel to discuss my reservation. Hopper shared that they would email the hotel since they were not able to reach them by phone. Now here is the kicker….the hotel staff called me a liar and said they were at the desk and I was a no show and wouldn’t be refunding my stay!!!! Maybe if they reviewed their security tapes they would see me standing at the desk for 10-15 minutes waiting to be checked in or three drug deal happening in their parking lot. I also tried to call to discuss my refund as that is what Hopper recommended and guess what … no one answered the phone!
I was not expecting much from a Super 8 but this is ridiculous…..I was not able to check in because of their absent staff and then when I tried to get my money back they called me a liar. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to the homeless and recommend you stay away...
Read moreThis hotel was incredibly difficult to work with. My mother, future mother-in-law, and myself all attempted to block rooms at this hotel for my wedding. My mother-in-law called to confirm her block a few months after she was told she received one, only to be told that she didn't have any rooms under her name and was unable to block any. Later, I heard from some of my guest that they were unable to reserve a room in my block because the hotel wouldn't give them one. Every time I would call, they would ask for my name and number, say they would call me back, and rush me off the phone. I would almost never get a call back or they would call me back several hours later and when I called again, there was always some kind of excuse. At one point, I asked how many rooms in my block were taken and was told that they couldn't tell me that information. All I was looking for was a number. For someone that has around 300 guests coming to a wedding, and was almost guaranteeing them business for 10+ rooms, I sure wasn't treated well. I can only assume that it's no different being an actual guest in the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would suggest any other hotel in the area. After several phone calls, and no help from the owner, I cancelled my block of rooms, and recommended my guests to stay else where. While cancelling my room, I was even asked if I would like to cancel my mother's rooms because it was holding up rooms. If they actually gave them to people, it was guaranteed business. There is a reason that this hotel is cheap, and their customer service definitely showed why. Please consider...
