Simply put I would not stay here again. Imagine traveling on a long flight to arrive at your “boutique “several star” hotel” only to be greeted with “you can’t check in until 4pm” and nothing else. Its the rudest feeling in the world. Also please note, this rule is not in place because the rooms aren’t available nor cleaned, this rule is just the rule with no concern nor leniency to guest. There are hotels with less stars that accommodate early check ins especially if the rooms are clean and available for the day. Also please note I showed up less than an hour before check in time. It was quite ridiculous. Usually when a hotel can’t check you in, they offer to hold your luggage and/or offer the use of the amenities in the hotel. Nope. None of that happened. I had to ask to have my luggage held, to which I was then told, “we may not have room to hold your luggage, let me check”. The check in/initial experience says a lot about the hotel and what matters and believe me when I tell you, its not the guests. So already I regretted booking this hotel. There is no one to help you with your luggage to your room and when I finally was able to check in, going to my room felt like I was at a motel or an inn. All of the doors are outside protected by a flimsy gate to the public streets. Nothing luxurious about this. Anyway, the only upside here are the amenities. The pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub were nice. However the pool is not cleaned on a regular and when I woke up early to swim before my flight, the pool gate was locked during its operating hours which is a clear indication that no one cleaned the pool prior to guests using it. I had to ask for the steam room to be turned on and the sauna was off. Also please note the gym is not on site at the hotel. There is a commute involved. The fire place in the room was a nice touch but the lights in the bathroom wouldn’t turn off so that was frustrating. The rooms are spacious and the robes were comfy but Im so glad I didn’t have to stay here for a lengthy time. All in all I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone and I won’t be back. Everything wasn’t terrible but You can’t enjoy a hotel because its amenities. A several star hotel experience involves great customer service who go above and beyond for guests to enjoy their stay and this hotel really missed the mark here. The staff here are way too casual and some staff were even sitting on lap tops in the dining area. It wasn’t a good look. No thank you. 2 stars for the 2 star service this hotel gives.

I stayed there from June 17-19, 2024. The first night was horrible. The room was freezing and the person working at the desk said to turn on the heat plus I turned on the fireplace to warm up the room. I went back to the receptionist to request an extra blanket. I switched on the a/c to heat which never worked. The blanket that was given to me had all these bugs crawling on my skin. I threw that in the tub. We had to sleep in the robes. I couldn't turn off the a/c, so I had kept the sliding door opened since the room was freezing. Also, there was a fire burning and the air was not safe to breath, but we would have frozen to death. It was so cold. About 5:30 am, I went back downstairs, and the receptionist got the maintenance person who said that I should have reset the a/c. After 20 mins, the a/c was still blasting cold air. The maintenance person said sorry about this, and it was really cold. The receptionist switched rooms and the room was warmer. That room for the next night, the a/c wasn't working. The pool doesn't have a heater and was really dirty. They should let customers know that the pool isn't heated. I went over to the Best Western pool, which was heated, and cleaner compared to The Lodge. The staff that were cleaning the rooms were really nice. Shout to the friendly ladies. Please note they don't have late check out. On a positive note I loved that they had nespresso machines in the rooms and gave out commentary coffee. 7-25-24 Note to the owner since I can't reply directly to the message. It was both rooms that the A/c didn't work correctly in either. I only stayed two nights at the hotel and the a/c weren't working correctly. I think it's important to tell customers that the pool isn't heated and that hotel is having issues with the a/c in the rooms before they book. Even through the employee were pleasant , it felt that the employees didn't even followup with us as many other Hilton hotels do, to see how we were. Thank you to the owner for your apology it would have been nice to hear that in person. It's odd that the owner didn't say anything about the blanket full of bugs or the pool's not being heated.

I had a terrible experience with this hotel and the staff was fairly rude and unhelpful. I found three or four black hairs in the shower on the first day. Vicky at the front tried to tell me that the shower was clean and it didn’t matter about the hairs. She even went so far as to tell me that they fall out from the towel. This would also imply that the towel wasn’t clean. Horrible way to handle this to argue with a customer. I showed her the picture as well. I asked to at least get the third night refunded and it was a hard no go. I did not end up staying at the hotel and my friend ended up checking out on after the second night, but she did stay with me the second night. Furthermore, I told them upon arrival that I only had a car to park in their lot for one night (there is a $10 fee) as I was returning it to the airport the next day. When I checked out I saw they charged me two days. I asked them to fix this and when they sent me the updated folio it was still on there. I got one of the manager’s email addresses and emailed her with no response. I finally talked to another GM Andrew who was very unapologetic and finally said he would refund me parking the one day but that was NO favor as I took the car that morning. The most appealing thing is apparently one of his Staff tried to claim they saw me driving around in the lot. He refused to tell me what time or who and basically it was none of my business. I explained I picked up the car keys from the front desk at 9:30am and returned it to the airport. How infuriating that their staff blatantly made up lies!
