Alley 6 Craft Distillery — Local services in Healdsburg

I live in Michigan. A friend just returned from a visit to No Cal and brought me a wonderful gift, a bottle of Alley 6 Harvest Gin. I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to gin. I love a good gin & tonic and have one nearly every evening, year-round. I've had all of the standard gins from cheap to expensive, the ones you see in nearly every liquor store, plus a few you never knew existed. This is one of those. This is the FINEST gin I've ever had the pleasure of tasting! It is far and away the most unique and after reading about how the base is made from the leftover pulp (pomace) from a local winery, I'm sure that's where the real flavor comes from. Absolutely awesome distillery and tasting room! The decor is super cool and the place is super chill & comfortable. We did their chocolate + spirit pairing which included some very nice salted caramel chocolates (they were out of their normal chocolates which was a bit of a bummer). We got to taste 9 spirits and a bitters and they were all super tasty and really interesting and unique. The whiskeys were lovely and very drinkable, the gins were very uniquely flavored, and the liqueurs were all very tasty and also really unique and had lovely flavors. What a hidden gem! This was the highlight of our Napa wine trip believe it or not. We came in after hours by accident. Apologized and turned to leave. Jason said hey you’re here, wanna taste some stuff?? So stinking hospitable!! He gave us a tasting and showed us around. He truly has a passion for what he does and it comes through in these delicious spirits. Tasting was phenomenal. Smooth, high alcohol content, NO burn yet full of flavor. You MUST stop by this hidden gem. Super cool place....
