Waves on Walnut — Hotel in Hollywood

We had booked our trip for October 2024 for December 2024. Everything was paid for and confirmed. We arrived in Miami and contacted the host to pick up the key. As to discover she had double booked and we could not stay there. How does somebody book something on October 2024 and arrive in December at the airport of Miami with family to discover that they don’t have a place to go to? Why would we not have been notified and a refund given to us earlier? |This was absolutely disappointing and no way to run a business at all. |There there were six of us , a teenager two kids that have autism and my daughter and her husband and myself . Can you imagine what it would’ve been like at an airport for three plus hours. Try to find a place to stay |The shock to find out that you actually don’t have a place to stay after paying and having confirmation. We had booked in October 2024 to stay in December 2024 when we arrived at the airport, we contacted them to get the information to pick up the key for the unit to discover she double booked it. It was paid for and now we are stranded in an airport with three kids and no place to stay at 6:30 at night. It was booked through Expedia, but she Confirmed and took the money for the booking. I do not understand how somebody books you and sent you confirmation and takes your money and then yet doesn’t notify you that there is A problem and it’s been double booked prior to us landing. It makes zero sense to me. I would not book here. They can’t be trusted .

I know for us it’s was no fun sitting in the airport trying to find a place on December 29 in the evening with two kids that have special needs that are hungry plus a teen and three adults that just flew from seattle, expecting to be staying at the Apartment/hotel they booked and going to the beach. My friend and I stayed here and were not disappointed. We booked this last minute and it was exactly what I thought it was going to be. Our room was one of the rooms pictured and it was perfect. The bed and pillows was so comfortable, super efficient bathroom, and awesome kitchen with a stove and full size fridge. We bought groceries which saved a ton of money by not eating out. We rented a car and be able to use one space. The beach is a very short walk between a few buildings. Good location to Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. We even drove to Key West!
