My husband and I and our 3 kids stayed here for 2 nights. This place is someday going to be a AWESOME resort! The grounds are impeccable, the services fabulous, the customer service amazing. This was a few months after the hurricane came through and all the first floor beach front rooms flooded and were boarded off. We were in a beachfront room, #14. Now i requested a beachfront room, but I WISH they would have told me on the phone when I did, that the non beachfront rooms (which look out over the pool and beautiful grounds) are the new and remodeled rooms and the beachfront rooms are all old. Truthfully, I still would have picked beachfront because I LOVE waking up and seeing the beach, but if I had known that it would have made a lot more sense our first night.

We arrived late at night and honestly I’m just going to be honest, my husband and I both felt like we were in a motel murder movie, there was NO one there, it was very very dark, we walked up the steps to the second floor and then down a hallway lit with creepy yellow lights to our room… it was creepy! Some more lights on the grounds and some non yellow lights in the hallway would do wonders. We walked in the room and it was dated but they did a nice job updating things like light fixtures, cupboard handles, nice clean walls and ceiling, decorations, etc. BUT the floor was FILTHY!!! We have an 11 month old daughter who is crawling EVERYWHERE and truthfully I just cringed the whole time. Not dirty like pieces on the floor, it was all vacuumed and clean in that sense, but dirty as in that rug has just had tons of people all over it and it’s not held up… only so much vacuuming a rug can do. All our feet were BLACK and my baby’s clothes were blackened. The rugs are SHOT, I mean SHOT, and that was gross. Again, it was vacuumed… but those rugs have seen better days and need to be replaced and the floor NEEDS STEAMED! Especially the bathroom floor. I could care less if it’s a “pretty” updated floor, I just want clean. That night, it was dark, we couldn’t see the pretty hotel grounds or the lovely beach… and I was in tears… I just wanted to go somewhere else. We both said coming at night like that started us off with a really bad impression. I will also note that my 11 month old could fit right through the railings on the porch overlooking the beach, so we did keep her off that but it still made me nervous. Everything else in the room though was very clean, some things more outdated than others but honestly the floor was the only thing that felt dirty, everything else was very clean, even inside the cupboards and things.

Now that I’ve said all of that, I will say this…. after being there 2 nights, and being there in the daytime both of us feel really differently. They are working SOOOO hard there to make things awesome! The pool, beach, outdoor games and areas are truly what you would see at a high end resort! ABSOLUTELY BLISSFUL!! They were insanely accommodating. The beachfront rooms are seriously ON the beach, you absolutely cannot beat the view. It’s a GORGEOUS beach. The bar and lounge area is sooo nice and they were so nice to my kids, made them hot chocolates and I got 2 drink coupons and I had a drink and my kids had a virgin strawberry daiquiri. The hotel offers the use of their bikes too which is a huge perk! I mean they truly covered things. I peaked in the redone rooms and they are loved, truly tastefully done!

So all in all, I definitely would recommend staying here… I’d probably even stay in the beach rooms again even though they are outdated and the rugs need replaced… but if that makes you nervous don’t think twice about staying in the new rooms that aren’t beach front, you are still super super close to the beach. but hotel staff… PLEASE GET RID of the rugs and steam...

If you decide to stay here for the stylish rooms and nice location, be sure to check your bed before you get in it and be aware that no one will help you if you have any issues arise after 10pm during your stay.||My family checked into a two bedroom suite on the Friday of Labor Day weekend. We had stayed here a few years earlier and had been looking forward to a nice weekend at the beach. However, that night while getting ready for bed, bed bugs were discovered in the second bedroom, in both beds. The hotel is not staffed overnight, and calls and texts to their after hours emergency number were not returned. Since there was no one available to move us to another room or assist at all, we packed up and left.||The following day by noon, hotel staff still had not returned my calls. I was finally able to reach someone via text, and was informed that their phone doesn’t work. The paper I was given at check in and the sign on the door both say to call or text the phone number that they know doesn't work.||I asked for a manager to call me, but was told there wasn’t one working that day (holiday weekend at a beach resort) and no one who was working had authority to address my situation. I pushed for management to contact me, and finally received a snarky text from the manager. He said" Does your boss expect you to work 7 days a week!" Keep in mind that they were charging $1000 a night for them to be inconvenienced! Not one apology.||After some back and forth over the next few days via text only, I was issued a refund for only two of the three nights I paid for, even though we did not stay a full night at all because of the bed bugs. After going back and forth for days waiting for the front desk to get approval from their owner for a full refund, they have still not given me my money back.||They claim to have had two pest control companies inspect the room we stayed in the morning we left, but the report from the first company is very questionable, (the pest control company separately confirmed the pictures we took were bed bugs) and they would not show proof of a report from the second company. Whether the infestation came from another room or from their laundry service, I don’t know, I just know the bugs were there and that this hotel did not handle the situation well at all.|It has been almost 2 weeks. No follow-up from the manager, the owners, or information on a full refund. Definitely no apology for the experience or inconvenience. In addition, the loss of a repeat customer. We had no choice but to challenge the charge on our credit card. The last thing anyone wants to do is leave a bad review, but beware if you plan...

Bali Hai is a beautiful resort. We stayed in room 30 on the parking lot side of the building lower level. The resort itself is right on the beach. Very clean, Quiet and beautiful. There is plenty to do at the resort, on the beach and the island. The customer service was excellent. Our room was a beachside(no view) king bedroom suite. The living room has a lot of space, large TV, slipcover sofa (I don’t like slipcover sofas in rental spaces. They look dirty.) with a kitchenette, awesome fridge, freezer, microwave, Lavazzo coffee maker and dining space. A sliding glass door that leads to a small sitting area(very little privacy accessible to anyone) and right into the courtyard, where there is a beautiful lounge, pool, games and more. The bathroom has a lot of space but very little counter tops space and very little storage. If I were staying a week that would be an issue for me personally. The bedroom is cozy, well decorated, with a closet. But no storage space like a dresser. Plenty of hangers in the closet but that is it. The bed for me was hard and lumpy but tolerable. I wouldn’t let it take away from the overall experience so I still stand at a 5 star review for a 2 night, 3 day trip. A very short walk to the beach. Showers to wash off sand when you return, grills to cook on, cabanas, and the best sunset views! As soon as we arrived(just a day or two after red tide) we walked out to the beach and 2 steps onto the wet sand we found a sand dollar. Many people were on the beach to see the sunset but there it was waiting for us. No longer alive but safe with us. Red tide brought plenty of stinky dead fish in its aftermath that were cleaned up as best they could every morning. You just have to look past it. There were loads of shells on this beach. More than we had found anywhere else on the island. In all we found 15 sand dollars and plenty of other cool things. We had so much fun. I love this resort even with my few personally particular changes I’d make if it were up to me. The remodeled rooms are quiet and so beautifully decorated. The cleaning staff are professional and fantastic. I can’t say enough about how beautiful this place and beach are especially if you’re looking for that perfect instagram-able place this is it. It’s definitely on the overpriced end and went over our original budget but we chose to pay it so I can’t blame the resort 🤷🏼‍♀️ Beach chairs and towels are included on a first come basis. Cabanas are included near the pool also first come. We never found it hard to get any of...

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend plus a couple extra days. I felt like the pool courtyard had that "Melrose Place" type feel (For those old enough to remember Melrose place). If you want to be oceanfront and literally hear the waves from your bed, these ocean front rooms are what you want. Literally if you are a hardcore beach in ocean swimming person, the ocean front rooms are for you. Just expect the rooms to be dated because the permits have not been approved yet for the upgrading of these ocean front rooms. If a first-class, Ritz type room with a cool view of the property + pool courtyard and are okay with a very short walk to the beach, this place has the best on AMI. The remodeled, pool garden view rooms are gorgeous, so if you plan to spend time in the room, go with these. BUT If you want to hear the waves from the room, go with the ocean front. Now the ocean front rooms are dated, but they give you the best access to the beach and ocean. The sound of the waves and time on the beach make up for the dated nature of the rooms. There are plans to update the ocean front rooms, just waiting on permits as I understand it. What I love most is the location and quality of the beach/water. This is a quieter area and we had no problems getting beach chairs with umbrellas over Labor Day weekend (which was sold out). For food, you have to try the ugly grouper restaurant right down the road. Seriously the best fish tacos on the planet. And the fries are perfect... I mean perfect. Live music was nice touch. We love the ugly grouper and can't wait to get back to AMI. Daiquiri Deck was great at sunset and AMI oyster Pier restaurant was great too. I think this might be the best small island feel in the US without crossing an ocean. We love Grand Cayman and this place felt even with it.
