Tropical Breeze Beach Club - Anna Maria Island — Hotel in Holmes Beach

We stayed for one night in Tropical Breezes which is a part of White Sands Resort. This place had the old Florida tourist guest house charm on the outside, but it had been fully upgraded inside with a nicely equipped little kitchen and a living area with flat screen TV. The bedroom had comfortable bedding, flat screen TV and faux fireplace. This section of rooms does not actually face the beach, but grab your towel and walk a few steps and you are right on the beach. Ana Maria has become very busy and you will find lots of restaurants nearby as well as a free town trolley outside your door. White Sands is second generation family owned and run, and the owner was happy to chat with us and give us the history. This is not a luxury hotel, but works really well for a beach vacation. We love the older Florida motels but sometimes wonder when we book sight unseen. I hesitated only because they don't have a pool. I was the told we could swim at their other property White Sands which is 3 blocks away. The property is older but very clean and the staff very friendly. The facilities are almost on the beach and VERY quiet. To me, Tripical Breeze is perfect for couples and White Sands for families. We stayed in #24 a large 1 room with kitchen and sofa. Plenty of room. We'd definitely stay here again, just not the week...

Went to celebrate a milestone family birthday. The staff is family and were great. They paid attention to all my requests including birthday balloons. Towel exchange worked well and the patio area in front of the room let us enjoy the weather even more. Pool was fun and very clean. Great and easy access to a beautiful beach. Met some great familiies and thats what this whole place is... a family and old school vibe. Hard to find these days. Thanks again guys for making a trip so special...
