This place is the worst hotel I have been at in awhile I'm going to call tomorrow morning hopefully I can change my review after speaking with the manager. The white lady at the front desk named Dana was EXTREMELY rude to me I first woke up at 11:42 to her unlocking my door coming into my room and screaming at me to get up and check out ina very unprofessional manner it was like "CHECKOUT WAS AT XX TIME YOU WHERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN GOT UP YOU NEED TO GET OUT" which has to be a violation of my rights in some way shape or form she simply could have knocked loud and tried the phone if I wasn't getting up but that was her first plan of action. the next thing that happens is I'm trying to extend the room with her another day and I put the booking as the same one I got the right before but she says that it was a completely new one that isn't deluxe whatever that means so we had to move L of our stuff out into the lobby before she made us a key for the next room so it was extremely uncomfortable and took some time to do that which she was knocking on the door yelling that "she needs to know what we are doing in there" while we where getting our stuff together acting like a police officer or school principal on a power trip literally treating us like kids when I'm just doing what she asked she uses the excuse the maids needed to get in the room but they literally where busy cleaning other rooms we had the 20-30 minutes to move our 10 bags of clothes we where trying to organize before being moved out. So then after ALL OF THIS she sees me in the front scolds me and says that she needs to personally check the room before we can go to the next so I'm waiting and I could never have guessed what's happen next the lady says WE CANT EXTEND so I ask why and she says because the smoke detector was taken off the wall but when I went into the room THE SLOME DETECTOR WASNT ON THE WALL AND I DONT EVEN SMOKE so 1 I know there was no smell because she didn't even mention that and 2 she just made that such a problem when it could have easily been put back up I saw it before leaving the room and kept it there because I DIDNT want them to say I moved anything around because the original detector was gone it was some off brand one laying around so I wasn't messing with it. Now I call to see where my 50$ incidental is and they say THEY ARE NOT REFUNDING IT BECAUSE THE DETECTOR I didn't touch the damn detector and I left ABSOLUTELY no damages to the room I actually have 2 people that will back up my word and people in the lobby witnessing how rude she is. Hotels are suppose to be centered around hospitality and she is in the WRONG industry she treats it like a prison I didn't feel welcome in any way shape or form and they are taking my money from me after giving me the worst experience I've ever had. I will be calling tomorrow I'll only change this review if you guys can do the simple task of...
Read more"So-So". For the price, it's a-ok. You aren't going to get a 5 star hotel with a 2 star price. I got the premium suite that was supposed to have the more comfortable beds, kitchen, and complimentary snack box. Well the beds definitely were more comfortable, so that's a huge plus from me. The kitchen was nice - you get a full size fridge. The stove top was cracked but functioned ... other than the knobs were missing. We went to the other premium suite and "stole" one of their knobs to use on ours (room was empty, got permission from front desk). The dishwasher wasn't screwed in or something because if you pulled the bottom drawer out the whole thing fell forward. Thankfully, it wasn't heavy or anything, but it was a bit of a shock. It functioned though reasonably well. We did NOT get the snack box. We notified the front desk several times, but they didn't have the supplies to fill it, but would give us popcorn & water. That was nice of them. Housekeeping came "twice" during my stay. Once they just got my dirty towels and did nothing else at all. The second time they came and made the bed & such. The front desk worker said they were supposed to come every day - but the hotel policy online states they come once per week - so I don't blame them for being wrong. Wifi worked well enough, nothing negative about it. TV was good, lots of channels. Shower cried out in agony every time you turned it on, but it... functioned... Toilet didn't flush well... sometimes would flush two or three times... We didn't get any of the little "complimentary shampoo" bottles or anything but that's OK, I brought my own. Breakfast was... terrible at best. They had no drinks whatsoever, and only one little tray of mini muffins, some days they had a couple cream or fruit danishes, once they had big muffins, and once they had mini cinnamon rolls. It all looked like the things you buy at sams club or walmart.. they weren't very great, nor filling, and I would not have even called that a breakfast. They didn't have cereal and milk, yogurt, or toast, bagels, or anything else I would have considered part of most grab and go breakfasts. The staff there were extremely friendly and I enjoyed them the most. They always greeted me and were very helpful. Overall, for the price, I...
Read moreThank you for your response to my 3-star review and for inviting more details. I'm happy to provide further context regarding my recent stay, as there were several significant issues that negatively impacted my experience.
Firstly, securing the room was complicated by a $50 deposit I didn't have readily available. A kind stranger paid it for me, but your staff then made an uncomfortable point of implying that I might cause damage to it. This was followed by the stranger entering my room to inspect it and stating he wished to return the following day to check it again. This felt like a significant invasion of my privacy and made me feel very uneasy.
Beyond this, my stay was marked by a series of operational and service failures:
Key System & Elevators: The key card system was entirely down during my stay, requiring staff to physically walk me to my room every time I needed access. Compounding this, the guest elevators were also broken, with only staff permitted to use them.
Staff Conduct: The overall demeanor of the staff, particularly in these inconvenient situations, was consistently rude and dismissive. I also witnessed staff members laughing about having checked in a man and walking him into an occupied room where a man was on the toilet, which was highly unprofessional. However, I do want to acknowledge that the staff member who was initially rude to me upon check-in did later provide grace by allowing me to extend my checkout time when I had an emergency for which I am grateful.
Room Assignment & Condition: Despite having a service animal, I was assigned a room that another manager indicated was specifically for guests with animals due to its condition. This was evident as the room contained leftover kitty litter. While the furniture was gently used, the initial impression of the room was concerning.
Cleaning Staff: On a positive note, I found the cleaning staff to be polite and efficient, despite any language barriers.
Location: Finally, for future guests, it's important to note the motel's location is not walkable, with very few stores or restaurants within easy reach, as it's tucked behind business buildings.
I hope this detailed feedback will be helpful in addressing these issues for...
