I overheard one of the management team member asking or complaining as to why people are moving out... although this is a friendly establishment, well maintained and the lot manager is as friendly and helpful as could ever be, the owners keep raising the rates. When it comes that time of year where the tenants may be able to save a buck or two if only for a couple months with a lower electricity bill because the weather change, you all go and raise the rent. No extra amenities, but higher fees. We've had about three months of terrible service with the internet issues here which is included in the package. Never did we receive a break in the bill there... still paying for something we were not receiving. So if you guys are wondering why people are leaving, it's because you sign us up for a lower rate, and raise it at your own convenience and effective approx. 6 days before the bill is due. Therefore leaving us in the hot summer season to pay higher light bill along with your raised pad lot increase. For example, $700 pad lot fee plus approx. $160 light bill minimum... brings us to $860 minimum.... people who are leaving might as well be paying rent or mortgage elsewhere. For those who were just here for work it didn't matter to them because there employer was paying for their lot but those of us who were planning on being here to stay and now due to the raise in lot fees, have to leave. Hope this answers your questions as to why people are...
Read moreMe and my wife stayed here for three months for a travel nursing contract. The place is nice and prices were reasonable. They have a large dog park area that is fenced in. There is a coded gate which is nice. They also had the option to use a key fob with a refundable one time payment upon return. All sites are paved. They are close together but not enough to feel totally cramped. Pull-Thrus are an option. Washer and dryers are used by a card system they use. The washers are huge and have plenty of room for clothes. The reason I'm actually writing this review is for Scott. This man was the best thing that could happen to this campground. We felt like family. We could have conversations. We also met Scotts dog, the best dog Astro! (After the Jetsons not Houston! and he loves treats.) Never have we went to a campground and had this level of relationship with the Manager. By far outside of the friendship Scott was always working on ways to improve the campground and help anyone that needed it in a quick and timely fashion. He always tried bringing in food trucks once a month for us and it was always good choices. He was always there for us and the other campers that needed something. Even when Scott was pressured in the office with issues he always kept his cool and worked on things one at a time to ensure all us...
Read moreNot the easiest RV Resort to get into, but well worth the effort. I was welcomed by Aida when I first checked in and felt that I had found a home away from home. This was further confirmed by my interactions with Karime, the property manager. Karime keeps the resort residents informed about what is happening within the park, what food truck is expected and when. And during the recent cold weather, she made sure that everyone knew about it and the recommendations on how to prepare for it. I have previously stayed at another resort in the area, but will be definitely coming back to Southlake. The one negative has been the low water pressure in the park. But Karime has kept everyone informed as to the actions she has taken in effort to solve the problem. It has been determined that the problem rests with the city water supply and not the park water lines. She has obtained case number and will continue to follow-up with the city until the problem is resolved. As has been said many times, a manager makes or breaks a business. And Karime and her staff definitely makes this...
