My check in and pre-check in experience was wonderful. The man who was at the front desk (Dan?) was friendly, helpful, patient and professional. I booked the studio for a week. My stay was uneventful until the last day - which was BEYOND dreadful. Let me explain....
I was set to check out on Friday 12/9/16. I was woken up on the day of check out by very agreessive pounding on my room door at 9:12am. It was actually scary it was so loud and non-stop. The person knocking did not identify themselves, they just kept pounding on my door. I jumped out of bed & looked through the peep-hole and was shocked to see a motel 6 housekeeping staff member.
I opened the door and said "hello?" I was discombobulated and shocked. The woman housekeeper said "I'm here to clean your room!" I responded saying "huh?" I then turned my head slightly to look at the bedside clock and looked back at her and said - it's 9:12am? I'm still asleep.
Mind you, it was pretty obvious by this point that I was dead asleep - the room was pitch black, I'm standing there in my nightie with my hair a mess and my eyes squinting from the bright sunlight. My daughter was in the other bed rubbing her eyes asking what's going on. Before I had a chance to say another word the house keeping woman got INCREDIBLY AGGRESSIVE. She started going off on me saying "well I'm not asleep. I'm working. Some people have jobs and mine is to clean rooms and I'm here to clean yours". At this point I realized this was going to be a problem, but I simply said, no thank you. I don't need housekeeping. I'm checking out today. She then responded "well I still clean rooms even if you don't check out" and did not leave my doorway. I was so shocked and scared of her that I just stood there as she berated me. I then said, I really don't need housekeeping. I'm checking out in 2hrs. I then closed the door on her since she was clearly not going to move on her own.
I got back into bed and my phone rang. It was the front desk woman. She literally YELLED at me "DO YOU WANT HOUSEKEEPING?" to which I replied "no im checking out today". She responded, "well we have to come in and check for mold and damages so it doesn't matter if your checking out. Just because you're checking out doesn't mean you don't want housekeeping" she then crank called me 3 more times.
As you can see if you look up my account, I stayed over 34 nights this year at Motel 6. However, I'm switching to InnTown suites for...
Read moreI recently booked a hotel reservation through "Hopper" for a weekend getaway. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the hotel, I realized that Hopper had booked the wrong date for my reservation. I was frustrated and confused, as I had double-checked the dates before confirming the reservation.
I immediately contacted Hopper to try and correct the mistake, but I was met with resistance. They were not willing to change the date of my reservation, despite the fact that it was their mistake. I was very disappointed and felt like they weren't taking my concerns seriously.Nor willing to make the effort for payment on their behalf.
After several attempts to resolve the issue with Hopper, I was greeted and met by a regional manager. She came in from her off time to help me. She was incredibly helpful and understanding and took the time to listen to my concerns. Then, she apologized for the mistake and went above and beyond to ensure that I had a great experience as she went to bat for me with Hopper.
This lady "I'm not dropping her name out of respect" but you know who you are....this regional manager not only corrected the date of my reservation but also provided me with a room at s good rate for the inconvenience. I was blown away by their level of service and attention to detail. She made made myself and wife feel valued as customers and turned a negative experience into a positive one.
Overall, while my experience with Hopper started off on the wrong foot, the intervention of this super woman regional manager made a huge difference. I would definitely wont consider using Hopper again in the future, knowing that they have dedicated their staff to not go the extra mile for their customers. THANKS MOTEL 6 FOR THE ❤️. RESPECTLY MY WIFE AND I. It's time to...
Read moreI liked the location. Many shops and restaurants nearby to enjoy. HOWEVER, Bad Customer service! -Non Smoking (The room clearly had a stench odor; which there was a ashtray on the table next to the bed) Fragrance sprays won't work on this either. -No extra pillows (My partner and I sleep with 2 pillows. Well there was only two in the room. The attendant stated she had to check to see if there was a shipment. I called to inquire she stated no extra pillows available) -Housekeeping (We needed extra towels. Three big towels which after 4 days did not last. Had to use one as floor for non slip surface. The toilet/tub was dirty; I actually stopped by the dollar store to buy cleaning supplies before I used it. I requested housekeeping my fourth day for towels and was told by the attendant- "housekeeping has been there twice" WRONG we had trash the same trash since day 1 of our stay, bed still the same, no extra towels, and no sink stopper to was the dishes that we used. -The "tenants" people live here it seems. Loud music from vehicles, people smoking outside there hotel starring at me/vehicle. "Traffic" I don't know what kind but a lady had different guys coming in here hotel multiple times and a guy that was meeting multiple people walk up to car then the car drives off multiple times. Suspicious! The third night I bought a soda from the vending machine for $2. I brought extra quarters for laundry so that clothes would be clean when we arrived back to Little Rock, AR. I thought that if it cost that much to buy a soda no telling how much it would cost to wash/dry clothes. I'm not happy and I still smell that lingering smell of smoke in my nose. I have tried washing my face I may need to get a nostril cleansing. I really don't suggest anyone...
