There were only 4 tables of people upon arriving. Plenty of space for us to be socially distanced, however we were sat next to a large table full of rowdy kids no less than 3 ft away. When our waitress arrived, she talked like, acted like and looked like she had been on a 5 day heavy drug bender, not a good sign. Ordered two entrees and 1 appetizer. While waiting 15 minutes for any sort of food to be brought, we had the opportunity to have a swat battle with the flies buzzing in our faces and trying to land on our table. We also had the opportunity to see all the trash and half eaten wings on the floor, and a balloon that had been caught in a ceiling fan above our table that had so much dust on it and flying off of it, it had to have been there since before covid. When the food finally arrived, the order was wrong. I was so disgusted with the upkeep of the restaurant and that my order was incorrect, I didn't even notice that we never got the appetizer. About 5 minutes after receiving our incorrect order, the appetizer arrived with an "oops I forgot your appetizer" which had apparently been sitting awhile because it was now cold. If there is any place your drinks should be full, it's at a hot wing place, yet our waitress never checked on us as we were chewing ice cubes in between wings. Finally had enough, flagged down our waitress from doing nothing and asked for to go boxes. Apparently they keep them next to the cooking area because the styrofoam boxes had melted holes in them so I had to ask for some without burnt holes. Even though the restaurant and waitress was trash, I left a generous tip. No thanks, no have a good day, no come back again. We just left to...
Read moreI sincerely wish there was a zero stars option for this location. Our family went last night and when we asked the server about the 2 for that is usually on Tuesdays, her reply was to “not anymore” and she walked off. When she finally did come back her question was were we staying and what did we want. We ordered and once the food got to the table, one of our family bit into their mushroom Swiss burger and it was so crusted with black pepper that it was inedible. We finally managed to catch the attention of a manager who was completely inconvenienced to have to deal with a guest. We explained the situation and his only response was “ you want another one”?. Yes we do. It was of so little importance to him that he sent the useless server over to ask what our guest wanted this time. Seriously? If you hate your job and your life so much that you test guests like this in your restaurant, feel free to go get a job that only requires you to ask “Do you want fries with that”. Even then it’s debatable as to whether you could get that right. I wholeheartedly hope the server and manager see this. Because of your complete disregard for your guests, you got the tip you deserved. To the manager thanks for nothing. Our family member couldn’t even eat dinner with the rest of the table but that had no impact on your decision to do absolutely the bare minimum you had to before walking to the bar and standing there with your arms crossed.
Do better, or simply get out of the Hospitality industry. No one needs slackers like you.
Disappointing to say the least and we will not be back to this location. Never have these issues in Pasadena. No wonder this...
Read moreI'll just start off by saying that I Usually See the good in people, things and places like restaurants and in this case Bayou City Wings-Fuqua. For the life of me I cannot comprehend how mediocrity is acceptable in Food Establishments, Post-Covid? This place has resorted to literally abandoning the Basic precepts for a successful Restaurant operation to thrive and first and foremost it starts at the top. Management has let this place go down the tubes from what they prided themselves for in the not to distant past. I had been a loyal customer for 10 plus years and have first-hand witnessed the decline in Food quality, poor service, lack of personable employees, management indifference to paying patrons. It's almost like they're annoyed you're there to be served and especially from the General Manager Zach who does the bare minimum to make sure your dining experience is a pleasant one. However, the One thing he does do well is to find the most trivial and petty things, like legitimate customer complaints such as charging 75 cents for Tajin or why he won't bring back 2 for 1 Tuesday Wings or if you ask why Draft Beer is $2.50 when just 3 months ago it was $1.50 or when I ask for the music to be turned up. That, friends got me banned under the guise that I received a customer drink return from an employee unbeknownst to me. What's absolutely mindboggling is that I got fired/banned, Lmao, not the employee! What a joke! That in a nutshell is the mindset, the Business philosophy, the Culture that drives and runs this Place! Chew on that. As for me, I will take my money and...
