My grandma and I stopped here at first just to buy chips and salsa with queso and when we got there we were planning on maybe ordering more. We started to look at the menu and while we were looking had multiple staff members overwhelming us asking if we were ready even after we told them to give us a second to order. We sat down at the bar just to eat chips and salsa before ordering, while we were sitting down the bartender kept asking us if we were going to order after we said yes to give us a second. Another staff member came by and asked the same thing and started talking to the bartender in Spanish and right after the bartender came to us to take our order when we had just told both of them we weren't ready. My grandma got up to use the restroom and the bartender looked back to make sure I didn't leave, as if we were going to "dine and dash". While sitting down the bartender kept staring at me every few seconds and then started talking to the staff, after 2 minutes or so the staff all looked at me while talking to the bartender. Once my grandma came out she was mad because all of the staff kept asking us if we were ready over and over every 3 minutes when we told them not yet. I told my grandma what happened while she was in the restroom and she asked "do people come in here just to eat the free chips and salsa and leave?" and he says "no" and then walks away while staring at us and when we were ready to tell him our order he came up to us and refused to take it and started accusing us of being broke and kept saying "we will let y'all go just this once , I understand if you have no money , its ok to be broke" and my grandma was livid at this point with how rude the staff was being and how the bartender kept staring at me like he was some pervert, so my grandma says "I wouldnt come in here if I didn't have any money" and he started to yell at her saying "we will let y'all go just this once , everyone has ups and downs" and she says "I just told u I was ready to order and instead of taking my order you are accusing me of being broke and coming in here just for free chips and salsa" I start laughing out of disbelief of what just happened and the bartender says "are u ok?" and when I say "yep" he asks my grandma the same thing and at this point me and my grandma wanted to leave cause we felt so turn offed by this restaurant, so we left and my grandma offered to leave a $5 tip and I refused for her to tip someone or someplace so disrespectful. worst staff ever , I have NEVER been...
Read moreWe found this restaurant via Google since we were in town for a funeral, and none of us were familiar with the area. This restaurant is beautiful. The decor is unique and airy with an outdoor feel to it. The lighting is great too. The service was not very friendly, she never brought refills, only came by to pick up our plates afterwards, not one smile, and we had to hunt her down just to get our bill. The food was disappointing. Perhaps it's because we have a higher level of expectancy from Mexican food establishments, but the food here was very bland. They had absolutely no flavor to them. We ordered a variety of things and it was all the same, very generic. We were two couples, and two of us ordered enchiladas, one cheese enchilada plate, and I ordered green chicken enchiladas. We were surprised to find out that they do not come with tortillas, so we had to order those extra, and they were very raw. When my green enchiladas arrived, they were not green, they were red, so either she didn't write it or they simply didn't read the order correctly in the kitchen. I just kept them because I didn't want to have to wait for them to make them again and she didn't even notice she got it wrong, it she didn't care. My sister ordered the mini tacos and they had absolutely no flavor, and no seasoning to the meat, the onions were not grilled and the plate came with no beans, it was a huge disappointment. My husband ordered the Carrasco plate that comes with a variety of items, all bland, no flavor, no rice, no beans, no tortillas. I ended up having to share my plate with him, it was so disappointing. When the waitress came to pick up our plates, she tipped the plate down and the dirty fork fell on my husband's dress shirt. She handed him a napkin and continued to take the plates to the kitchen. So overall it was unfortunately not a good experience for us. After a long drive, and a sad funeral, it would've been nice to end the day with a good meal but unfortunately for us, that didn't happen. So I would not recommend this place, at least not if you're looking for good food and...
Read moreWas pretty excited when we got there. Not busy AT ALL. There was 2 other tables besides us. We ordered off the lunch menu. The waiter took our order and that was really all we saw of him. We had to refill our own drinks with pitchers we found at a drink stand. One of us ordered chalupas. Description read "fried flour tortillas" and came out on crispy corn. After waiting a long time for the waiter to check back on us, I asked him about the tortilla. Asked about the flour tortilla and he aggresively responded, "NO its corn!!" We went and grabbed a menu and asked him again. Showed him on the menu where it said "fried flour tortilla". He was very irritated that we did that, and then snatched the menu out of my friends hands. We weren't even done with it. Very unhappily he got the plate fixed and we never saw him again. We had to flag down what looked like the manager to get our ticket so we could leave. Then our waiter popped up out of nowhere trying to assist us. Trying to fill up our drinks when we didnt wants anything. Kept asking when we already said no. Then wouldnt leave the table while we were cou ting our money to pay and tip. Some of the most disrespectful service received in a while. I work at a mexican restaurant and are very familiar with how food is supposed to be prepared and made. And you definitely dont tell a guest they are wrong when they point out a flaw in their food. Doubt we will...
