Scottish Inns & Suites IAH Airport, TX — Hotel in Humble

We had a connecting flight cancel June 2025, and of all the airline-paid options, this place seemed the best available. We called the hotel to confirm the reservation and see about getting shuttle transportation from the airport. The lady said that the 9PM shuttle would be the last one available and to look for the one marked "24-hour shuttle" ...confusing, right? We had baggage to get, so we got to the shuttle area around 8:50. 9PM rolled around, and the shuttle never showed up. We called the hotel, and this is when they informed us that the shuttle departs at 8:45. Frustrating, to say the least. We got an Uber to take us there instead.

Checked in with the lady at the hotel main counter with no issues. Asked about a shuttle in the morning to take our early rescheduled flight, and options were in 1-hour intervals. We asked to be added to the list for the 9AM shuttle - she had a spreadsheet printout on her counter to write us in.

In the morning, we rolled out to the main lobby area at around 8:50AM and spoke to a man at the counter. Guess what they told us?! - that the shuttle leaves at 8:45... and that our name was not on the list, anyhow. 😒

I should have known better from the experience the night before how poorly they communicate details as such. The clerk started arguing with me that the lady the night before did tell us all the details, but my wife, in frustration, jumped in and told him that she, in fact, did not. Took another Uber to the airport. 🙄

If the shuttle leaves 15 minutes early, just say that... 😏

The room was very clean and nice. The location is right outside IAH, so it is very convenient.

I came to visit my boyfriend last night due to him being hit by an 18 wheeler and had fractured bones. He was just released from the hospital. I stayed the night with him and the next day the cleaner came to clean. Due to his circumstance we asked if we could wash our own sheets as he’s on bed rest. We had our own washing detergent for this reason along with cleaning products and a dust pan and broom. Then the manager DEMANDED we leave the room. He was very rude and unprofessional despite explaining the circumstances. He said my boyfriend couldn’t have company and I explained to him I have my own place and he just got out of the hospital. He was forced out of bed rest and he told us if we didn’t like it we could leave and that HE COULDN’T have company despite the fact that I told him I had my own house. They were very unprofessional and we left. Don’t go here they just messed with us for no reason whatsoever and my boyfriend whom should be in bed rest had to get up and relocate. Not to mention he informed me that he had just paid them for a weeks stay the night prior! These look nice but if you’re black they may find a reason to bother you. My boyfriend was a paying customer and treated so poorly. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

I edited this review in response to them not finding anything. They are liars, you see how they handled this situation! As if it never happened or existed instead of an apology. I guess it is to be expected we were treated very poorly and they have HORRIBLE customer service! Beware, and be weary of where you decided to spend your money. They didn't even give my boyfriend all of his money back only half and he had just paid the day prior. I wasn't even aware of this when first making the original review!...
