Update april 7 (I will be filing a chargeback if I don't hear back soon) Update with the same information from the 3 emails ive sent. The ceiling light didnt work and almost fell on me last night I'm lucky I didn't roll under it asleep. The tv didn't work payback error for everything i tried watching no matter what channel or app, no free wifi so i couldnt cast from my phone to the tv at least and when i connected my hotspot it didnt connect either. My partner went out to ask front desk for assistance and got no help. The shower has low water pressure and barely trickled out, you had to jiggle and play with the handle and you could only choose scalding or freezing because the handle seems loose or falling off. If theres a way to get a partial refund im looking into it, chose to leave at 7 am rather than deal with it. The towels also smelled funny. I at least fixed your tv after doing some more research online, since I couldn't sleep due to noise disturbances. Construction people seemed to be working at 4 in the morning. Not the worst stay I've ever had in any motel, but definitely not worth the money I paid for. There was only 1 towel in the room for two guests as well, im glad i asked for extra before heading to the room. Not autism friendly. Also charged differently than the reciept i was given online.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke. There was mold in the bathroom around the tub, the entrance door had a space on the bottom where I could see daylight coming in. The rug on the floor looked nasty. They did not vacuum it. I was afraid to walk on it with my bare feet. They need to take it up. They did not clean any surfaces the tables and dressers had stuff on them. The curtains were old and looked stained. The walls were somewhat dirty. I was sitting on the toilet and could see stains and dirt and filth on the door to the bathroom. The bed was soft but lumpy. It smelled like cigarette smoke too. I dont know about this place...smhuh

They offer rooms for 10 and overnight. I booked a room for one night for $80, plus a $5 refundable deposit (make sure to check out on time to get it back). The room was nice and decent with sufficient facilities for the price. The bed was comfortable. The property felt safe and was quiet, perfect for a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful. I loved the place and would recommend it for a budget stay. Rates may differ on weekends but are definitely affordable. They also have two-bedroom options available at affordable prices.

Highly Recommended: Parkway Garden Homes (The O Block)

If you're searching for a safe haven in the heart of Chicago, look no further than Parkway Garden Homes, affectionately nicknamed 'The O Block'. Renowned for its exceptional security and community spirit, this complex is not just a living space but a vibrant community welcoming people of all races, genders, and political affiliations.

The O Block stands out for its affordability without compromising safety or comfort, a rare find in the city. Here, you can stroll with peace of mind, surrounded by neighbors who are not only friendly but who also contribute to the warm and inclusive atmosphere. The diverse community is celebrated through communal activities like barbecues, and there's even a pool for those sunny days, although it's underused by those who haven't yet learned to swim.

Even celebrities have taken note of this gem, making it a unique intersection of a residential area and a tourist attraction, thanks to its outstanding reputation and beautiful city views. The apartment complex is also noted for its accessibility, with staff fluent in sign language to assist those with hearing impairments.

One must also commend the vigilant security measures in place, ensuring that residents feel secure at any hour. While some mention a need for improved lighting to navigate the area after dark safely, the overall sentiment is one of appreciation for the strong sense of community and safety.

Join the residents of The O Block who enjoy a quality of life that is rare in such a bustling city. It's not just an apartment complex; it's a community that stands as a beacon of exemplary...

Hmmm...where to start 🤔🤔 this should be called the WORST MOTEL 😕 FIRST- this establishment is located across the street from Parkway Gardens which are project based housing buildings and they have 24/7 security so you might feel a bit safe🙃 SECOND- the amenities SUCKKKKK. There aren't any microwaves here(also none in the office), there aren't any mini fridges in the room and there's no Wi-Fi...like none at all, the cold water doesn't get cold and they don't have an ice machine if you want colder beverages, and lastly no vending machines. There are some places within walking distance but be careful when you go out because the community isn't the safest 😕 Also if you're on the first floor be prepared to deal with leaking ceiling in the bathroom. Went to two different rooms and they ceiling was leaking while I used the toilet. Smh. Also you have the critters...roaches and bedbugs but more so roaches who are out in the daytime and nighttime. Haven't seen any mice but they're probably there lurking. Room service sucks because the housekeepers don't speak any English and they barely have clean towels and the ones they do have still looks dirty. Overall I would never stay here again. For 100 a night smh it ain't worth it at all. You'll be better off going to imperial on 103 and Michigan...even tho it's further they have better amenities and...
