Highlight of the Weekend !!!
In mid-November 2021, my 23-yr old son and I did a fantastic weekend in Chicago. We visited 360 Chicago/John Hancock Center, Millennium Park, Chinatown. We ate at several fantastic restaurants, we went to a Loyola Chicago basketball game and a Chicago Bears football game. We spent our Saturday evening at Buddy Guy’s Legends Blues Club. We stayed at a great hotel just off of Michigan Avenue.
But… In all that we did, we both decided that the highlight of our weekend was our visit to the Johnny Twist Blues Museum !!!
Our visit was fun, interesting and eye-opening! Mr. Twist was a talkative, gracious, frank and entertaining host. I’ve been a fan of the blues for over 40 years and Mr. Twist provided so many stories on pieces of the music’s history that are in danger of being lost. He also provided press clippings to back up so much of what he said.
We were at the small museum for over two hours and wanted to stay even longer.
Get to 65th and Cottage Grove and visit...

The greatest. Johnny THE LEGEND Twist.
Thank you so much for the tour Legend, I wish I could have spent more time. I would love to chat with you again. Peace and love...

However, when you Google them it shows that it opens at 11am daily except for Sunday's. As a musician and blue's enthusiast I was very disappointed. When they open Chess Records at 2120 S Michigan Ave would be a better stop. At least they tell you that they're currently closed due...
