Read moreTerrible experience with the "Parking Attendants".... Absolutely shocked by how rude and obnoxious 2 female parking attendants were, including 1 who claimed she was "in charge"... Talk about taking a simple job, with a little "authority" and totally abusing the authority given to them. Was parked between a telephone pole and the anchor wire. Nobody else could possibly park between them with me, but the attendant made me move my car over several feet next to the pole anyway. Then, the next car, she had him park on the other side of the wire, about 10 feet away..No reason for me to move. Anyway, she was so rude... and as I went into the fair, I noticed her bad mouthing me to her supervisor. The car on the right was parked about the same distance as the truck on the left, until she made me move... then, while I was in the fair, she "squeezed" a car between me and the car on the Right...enough where I had to back out to allow my passenger get in... There would have been plenty of room had she NOT made me move, but still, there was easily 10 feet between me and the truck on the left. She did it out of spite....no doubt. Anyway, I complained about her attitude and how I was treated, and her supervisor was equally as belligerent and obnoxious. She told me "If I don't want my car do get dented by someone else's door, I shouldn't bring such a nice car to the fair... and "I should buy 2 parking spots"... I was parked between a telephone pole and the anchor wire where I was TOLD to park. I just couldn't park in the "middle"? Its just parking.... By the way,,, this was in the Handicapped area... Its a sad day when you go to enjoy a day at the fair, and cannot even get out of your car in the parking lot before going in and are treated so poorly by someone abusing the little...
Read moreThe Ionia free fair is one of the largest, most well known fairs in Michigan. Set up was great, as in the rides, food area, ect. Although "free" is a long haul. You have to pay for wrist bands...which sure are good all week long, but if u plan on going for just a night, plan to drop $25 per wrist band. Oh...and all the cool rides cost tickets on top of that. There was about 3 different rides that were free to my knowledge (train ride, small bounce house and the tall slide). I don't even know how much the tickets were. Didn't want to see after spending 53.00 on 2 wrist bands and paying $12+ for a lemonade, slice of pizza and cotton candy (which high prices for food are to be expected). Sure u can walk around for free. But try having a kid of any age that doesn't want to utilize every single ride there...not once..but over and over. The ticket thing is overrated. I'll pay for a wrist band that you can use all week long. But "paying" tickets every time your kid wants to ride a ride or play a game, seems over kill to me. Or simply don't label it as a "free fair" when it's...
