Pocket Change is a mental health facility masquerading as a extreme discount store. Don't you feel better when you buy something you really like at a great bargain price, be it shoes , books, shirt ,art, etc. It's therapy it's hard to leave without a smile on your face. It's fun to browse the cool and unique items knowing you will get a GREAT price on anything u lay your eyes on. It's decorated in a 1960s art deco style, You always feel welcome, hauling out your treasures for pocket change, therapist on duty behind cash register, I try to round up my total purchase to nearest $5 , I've done this for years, to help them help the community, and it makes me feel good to know in my own small way I'm helping the community too, leaving pocket change with a SMILE that last part of the day. I absolutely love this place. Great prices. Absolutely love fill a bag day. plus the owner does amazing things for the community. I was involved in a house fire Nov 15th 2022 and the owner let me get free clothes for a year. Which was very helpful. You never know when the owner is gonna go live saying stuff is half off and basically dirt cheap lol. Would definitely give pocket change a follow on Facebook it's how I keep up when all the sales are happening or even the random deals. So happy I found this place!! Love going every month. I really used to love shopping here I really did. After years of coming here here’s what is going on. The workers who put the items out have first dibs on if they want it or not. Especially the lady worker with the purple hair. I have watched her take whatever she wants. She and they take all the good stuff. Rarely is there anything here worth buying anymore. This place has disappointed me for the last time. It’s supposed to be a non profit. Not a free for all who work there. Skip this place and head to somewhere else local. This place has fallen apart.
