Let me begin by saying I never stay in Comfort Inns or Suites bc they are typically disgusting and grody to the max; however, AA made me miss my connecting flight due to sitting on the tarmac 5-ever (longer than FORever) so they gave me a voucher to stay in this rat trap - plus a $12 airport meal voucher. Umm what can you get for $12 in the airport? A bottled water? Sorry… I digress… back to the review of the roach motel that is The DFW Comfort Suites… First, to get here, I had to board a nasty shuttle van that delivers (unsuspecting ?) guests to a number of even rattier motels such as Super 8 and Motel 6. I longingly watched the Hyatt van and the Fairfield Inn shuttle come and go while waiting for my third world chariot to arrive at the airport shuttle stop (C27 on the lowest level of the airport next to construction- not clearly marked or explained by anyone.) Once aboard, I found a filthy single seat and enjoyed the metal rod poking me horizontally across the middle of my back for the duration of the ride. The hotel is 3 miles away, but the driver circled through the airport not once or twice, but FOUR times, stopped EACH TIME, got out of the vehicle walked around and got back in before actually getting on the road. This all seemed very suspish and it didn’t help that the foreign lady in the front kept frantically barking out - WHERE IS THIS? WHAT HOTEL?! While flailing her AA comp ticket at the driver. Her saintly and patient hubs just patted her each time saying “Not yet” while scrolling on his phone. Once I arrived, the lobby wasn’t bad, so I sort of got my hopes up. There is complimentary coffee and hot water for tea, but the water was cool to the touch. The desk clerk told me to microwave it in my room. Gee thanks. After a brief, yet dirty, elevator ride I was on the 2nd floor. Once the doors opened, I saw the carpet was worn and damaged at the seam. On the walk to my room, I passed a cleaning lady cleaning rooms at 8:30 PM - WEIRD! I entered a pitch dark room that seemed ok at first, but upon further inspection, I noticed the toilet was not clean. I lined the seat with toilet paper as if I were using a public bathroom. I wanted a bath after a long, stressful day, but I noticed some remnants of blue liquid in the tub. I rinsed the tub and put a towel in to sit on bc I didn’t trust sitting my pristine fanny on the potentially dirty porcelain. While sitting there with the toilet at eye level, I noticed the accumulation of dried (?) urine around the base of the toilet. Then I noticed the chunk of a dark brown substance on the floor. (Are you thinking what I’m thinking?) I tried not to gag. I toweled off with a very scratchy and dingy looking towel and became entangled in a foot long piece of hair that was clinging to the fibers. It was like walking into a spider web. I frantically tried to extricate myself from the offending piece of some stranger’s pelt and quickly snatched another - hopefully hairless- towel to finish drying off. At this point I was exhausted , so I crawled into sheets that seemed clean, but as I lie here, I’m thinking they have used lye or maybe fiberglass to wash the sheets bc they are extremely itchy. I keep feeling like microscopic varmints are parading up and down my appendages whilst I type this review. In conclusion, if you are young and dumb without a lot of hotel experience, are broke and thankful for shelter, or the type who likes a little filth in your life to keep you humble, you will love this place.

Having missed a flight at dfw, the airline provided us with a link for discount hotels nearby. We now realize why they're on the discount service. We called made a reservation for a room at Confort Suites DFW in large part because they advertised having an airport shuttle. We made the reservation at 10:00. We arrived at the pickup location which was outside on a particularly cold night for Dallas and the waiting began. At 10:30 we called back wondering where the pickup van was. We were told that they would be there within 5 to 20 minutes. At 10:45, we called again just to confirm and were told that someone was on their way. At 11:00, after numerous other motels" shuttle vans had already come and gone several times, we called an additional time and got the same answer. By this time, we're starting to consider whether we need to actually get a cab. Finally, at about 11:15, the shuttle van showed up at near capacity of people and once in, the shuttle van proceeded to several other pickup locations to load more people beyond the capacity of the van. At one point there were 11 people in the van that should have held nine. When the last person boarded, all the other passengers nervously looked at each other wondering how one more person was going to be crammed in. THE VAN WAS DISGUSTING. It was filthy, the seats were torn and the van reeked of watermelon incense that did not cover up the pervasive funky odor. As other comments on this thread have pointed out, our experience is not unique and the motel notes that the pickup service is a third party. The motel clearly knows that the service is a problem and needs to replace this arrangement instead of using them as an excuse. Had we not had this type of pickup experience, we would have been more receptive to the condition of the hotel itself. Upon arriving at the hotel, the person at the front desk could not find our reservation and fortunately the booking service sent a confirmation number. This required me to bring out more information to prove that I actually had made a reservation.. made just an hour and a half ago. As to the hotel, it was clearly worn and dated, neither of which is a problem in and of itself. It was evident, however, that cleanliness was not a top priority. Walking down in the hall, we noticed trash piled up outside of doors in the hallway. Those piles of trash were still in place when we checked the following morning. That experience made us wonder what else wasn't being cleaned in our own room. Motels such as this need to realize that the van pickup service, not the lobby, is the guests first impression of their facility.

I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with this hotel’s airport shuttle service. I booked parking through them until May 12th at 11:30 PM, specifically because I was told I could call the front desk upon landing at DFW and the 24/7 shuttle would come to pick me up. My flight landed at 10:30 PM and I followed instructions exactly – I called the front desk, was told where to wait, and then… nothing. I stood at the designated pickup location alone, late at night, and the shuttle never showed up. I called repeatedly, roughly every 10 minutes, and each time was told it would be just “7 more minutes” or “10-15 more minutes.” These promises went on for nearly an hour with no shuttle in sight. As a woman standing alone at a major airport late at night, this was not only extremely inconvenient but also unsafe. When it became clear that no one was coming and I was approaching my parking deadline of 11:30 PM, I had no choice but to call a Lyft and pay out of pocket just to get back to the hotel. When I arrived and voiced my frustration to the front desk, the response was even more infuriating: I was told that the “normal wait time is 30–60 minutes.” This is completely unacceptable, especially since I was never informed of such a long delay when I first called. If the shuttle service was unavailable or unreliable, I should have been told right away so I could make other arrangements, not misled with false ETA after false ETA. This experience showed a complete lack of organization, communication, and regard for guest safety. I will not be using this hotel again, and I strongly advise others to think twice before relying on their shuttle service.

Overall for unexpected travel. Booking this place as our only affordable option went very well! & reading some pretty scary reviews. we were so nervous. We used the shuttle many times! Each time vary wait times & different shuttles! When we arrived & called comfort suites the shuttle was very quick! they were picking others up, & dropping off! they allowed us to check in little early to our room which was very great we were exhausted traveling overnight with a layover into morning! they did have a $100 deposit. some think this is weird idk. the beds looked okay, my party didn’t see any issues. the room was clean, stocked and the room was insanely huge. wasn’t disappointed. & Look traveling too downtown dallas. We thought the bus station route was a lot closer. don’t do that. we walked an hour. Use the free shuttle to the airport if not take uber to the bus station. & hop on the “orange line “ there. it’ll bring you there and back. and then the bus line tickets are i think it was 3 dollars. figuring that app out was a bust the first day. & we didn’t know if we should scan something before getting on. Your app is your proof of purchase. you don’t scan anything lol. we just got on for free the first time. do or don’t activate your passes on the app unless you see security when riding the orange line. I feel only time to worry is coming back from downtown dallas to the airport. it’s busy down there some days. do what you will with that information. the second time we used the shuttle from the airport we were on our way back from downtown dallas. & it was late & dark out. we just went back to the airport and called our hotel told them where we were located. i think we waited over an hour. we called quite a few times. honestly wasn’t an issue for us any but depending on when you go prepare for the weather. I also loved this place because and i’m surprised nobody mentioned the texas shaped waffle makers. actually obsessed when coming from out of state. they were very quick with refilling breakfast. get up early for a flavor of the day waffle! over all I thought the staff was very friendly, there 24/7 for everything! they had a little store which is nice but no vegan friendly options for others. a woman had mentioned this in the lobby as she was starving and there was nothing for her. and it’s hard to access food & stores without a car & or uber. unless you walk down to whataburger & even that might be a bit of a walk for a woman at night. I felt like the area was nice, safe. didn’t have any discomfort or safety issues here. & goodluck finding the stairs! & I believe this place is family owned! if that matters to you! I thought staff was very helpful, had great service! I only give locations 3 stars because without a car or if your not taking a personal uber.. your walking the hour +. which isn’t on hotel but a like to know in advance. I would recommend for young adults...
