Ahaa Kitchen — Restaurant in Irving

ANOTHER UPDATE! I decided to keep my original review bc it's honest & shows I tried to give them another chance. Upon visiting this last time after I had visited several times in the past and spent several dollars, this was the one that broke the camel's back & the last visit! I invited a co-worker to come w/ me to order food here which is promoting their business through word of mouth which means more money for them. We had to wait several minutes which made us late for work even though we called in advance. My order they charged me extra when they missed up once again on my order giving me burnt samosas that were flat & had no filling. The man states they had a different order due to low supply of the original samosas that they usual serve. They shouldn't charge full price for something they don't have and can't provide. I didn't get my rice with my order and they charged me for naan when I had to come back, wasting time and gas. UNBELIEVABLE! My money spends well at Pasand where I recommend others to go for great Indian food and customer service! I gave 2 stars bc I did like them but after multiple times seeing how loyal customers are treated I have to switch where I am valued along with the money I bring!

UPDATE to originalreview!: Manager contacted me IMMEDIATELY & apologized & provided a refund! Wow this has really showed that he was concerned & wanted to make things right. This was true character! Thank you so much! I will be happy to visit again!

I will start by saying that it's not the food that I had a problem with it's the customer service which I believe speaks volumes. I frequented this restaurant many times so I will call myself a regular patrion however on my last visit (haven't been since) I found hair in my food. I put up with The Times that they say they're gonna have your food ready and they don't I also put up with order being inaccurate at times and one time burnt samosa and finding hair once before (the odds)...but this time being told I would be compensated by a discount on next order for them not to make good on their promise. That spoke volumes of the character if the staff. Since I wasn't valued as a customer my money can be taken else where, where it will be...

I have never faced such bad behavior from any restaurant. Arrived at the restaurant at 10:00pm and immediately took our order . They said it would take 20 to 25 minutes. We waited patiently until 11:00pm and were totally disappointed. An hour after we got wrong food that we ordered since asked about it, the behavior was irresponsible and rude. I have to advise everyone not to go there again.

This place is overrated, lacking air conditioning and maintaining open doors, creating a hallway-like dining atmosphere and not clean.

I ordered 3 leaf thali with my friends, the banana leafs wear dry, and not at all clean. And additionally they charged me extra for all the food that we ate and didn’t even mentioned on menu or informed us that thali’s were served on special days. Moreover water and napkins were not provided since 2 people were working and no one responded.. as no napkins were provided .This is the 4th time we are going this place but today is the worst day with these people, she even tried to call cops on me, the thing is I know the price for what we ordered because we came here last 3 times. But the funny thing is this time she was angry on me because I told here the price that she was charging more. She got mad and yelling over and over.

She Threatened us by calling cops she forced me and my friends to leave. It was a very unpleasant experience for us. We would never come back.

I really hate to give this review as I’m sure the food would’ve been very good but unfortunately, due to the appalling service, we were never able to experience it. To say the least, I am absolutely mortified by the service at this establishment and please do trust me when I say that’s saying a lot. We came inside to eat, ordered our food, and we’re told 15-20 minutes. We waited AN HOUR AND A HALF. Mind you, they never brought out any drinks, not water, not the mango lassi we ordered, and of course no food came out in the entire hour and half that we waited. They kept coming out to tell us “almost ready”, but we had no choice but to leave after the hour and a half mark as our daughter was extremely hungry and we had to stop at McDonald’s down the road. We understand the time and effort that goes into making good, fresh food, but it would have been a completely different experience if they had told us “unfortunately we have longer wait time than usual” or had the decency to bring us our drinks while we waited. We were extremely excited to try this as the other reviews are rather good but it was such an extremely disappointing experience due to the terrible service. At the end of the day, I’m disappointed with myself for choosing to wait so long but to have them tell us “it’s coming soon” on three different occasions can be rather misleading when the food is, in fact, not...
