I wanted to share our experience during our recent stay at your resort. While we were excited to visit, our check-in process was disappointing. There was a long line with only one receptionist available, leading to a frustrating delay. Additionally, upon check-in, we were informed about a margarita event on the 10th and 11th, but when we tried to verify with both the front desk and concierge, no one seemed to know about it. Eventually, we had to confirm the event at the rooftop bar, highlighting a miscommunication at check-in.
Furthermore, our room was not up to standard. The ice machine was not functioning, and instead of attempting to fix it, we were provided with ice, which was inconvenient. Additionally, our room was not cleaned throughout our stay, and our toilet stopped working. Despite notifying the staff, no one came to address the issue.
Parking was another issue, particularly for our elderly in-laws. It was inconvenient for them to have to walk across the street for self-parking, especially considering our past experiences where parking was closer to our building.
Overall, we expected a more resort-like experience, but the property seemed poorly managed. The lack of attention to detail, miscommunication, and unaddressed issues left us disappointed. Even during check-out, the receptionist didn't inquire about our stay or seem to care about our experience. Unfortunately, based on our recent visit, we are hesitant to return...
Read moreThe rooms are dated for being at a resort. While I understand most of our time is spent out of the room, for the price, we expected something nicer and more modern. There should be an option to not have an adjoining room with your neighbor where the poorly insulated door and thin walls allow for you to hear everything going on in the room next to you. The air conditioning was ridiculously noisy throughout the entire stay, waking us up randomly throughout the night when it would turn on and off. One positive is the water pressure is fabulous in the shower, and there was plenty of hot water throughout our stay.
Extremely limited parking and no enforcement of only residents being able to park in the spots available for paying customers. Golf carts EVERYWHERE that park wherever they want, including in the spaces reserved for residents.
Thankfully, we didn't waste our money on the "Seaside Sparks" event they offered. $50 per head to use the chairs the resort offers to sit on the beach and watch the fireworks put on by the city that were miles down the beach and barely visible. Instead, we brought our own chairs, sat closer to the fireworks (still on the property because we thought the show was being put on by the resort), and enjoyed better fireworks from other residents that brought their own to shoot off. If you come for this event, go further into town and...
Read moreThe resort is absolutely beautiful. However, some of the rooms are not as advertised on their website (as far as what they include) and the on-site restaurants are ridiculously over-priced and close early.
We booked for 7 days and the Hyatt website clearly states that the 2 Queen Bed with Ocean View includes a full kitchen and washer & dryer (our room did not have this). We were here for a baseball tournament all week, so we desperately needed a washer & dryer to wash clothes/uniforms and we needed more than a mini fridge for our family.
After checking into our room, I went down and told the front desk about the room not having the full kitchen/washer & dryer that it advertised (and that we needed and spent a lot of money on) and they said that they would leave a message for the manager, but no one ever contacted us. A manager was never available ever.
We also received a text from a survey telling us to email the manager about our experience, but the manager never responded to our email. We ended up having to hand wash our clothes in the sink all week. It was the worst room that Iâve had in the last 15 years...
