Where do I begin? This place is rundown and outdated. The staff if rude and have no customer service skills. I choose to do a budget hotel to save money, and it was a mistake. I got there to check in at 3 pm like I was informed to do, when i tried to check in, i was told to come back in an hour. I had just driven 8 hours and had NOWHERE to go. So I waited, and at 4:30, came back to the clerk to tell me nothing was clean. I asked him if he was being serious, and he left to check and realized a room WAS available. I made the reso on priceline, and paid through them. the clerk tried to charge me again, i had to pull up my bank profile to prove it was already paid. Once I got to the room, it was a nightmare. The laminate was pieced together with screws on the bathroom sink. The water in the bathtub wouldn't stop running, the room had an odor that was almost mildew in scent. If the money hadn't already be taking out of my account, i would have left. The TV only received a handful of local channels. No alarm clock in the room, and the internet was sketchy at best. I was in the middle of a conference video call and the internet went out completely. I went to the front desk to find out what was up and they said to try again later. SERIUOSLY. |The lobby is a nightmare when the "breakfast" is available. And breakfast is a loose term. A waffle machine with a syrup dispenser that the pump didn't work. The table weren't clean, sticky with syrup all over them. 1 type of juice that was in a luke warm fridge. And a coffee that was cold. One gentleman came in for coffee, and pointed out the cold coffee to the attendant on duty, and the attendant in from of me said "I don't make coffee". I looked at him and said isn't that kind of your job. He said no and walked off. |Very sketchy area as well. Felt very unsafe going out to my car in the dark. |No room service at all! I stayed for 5 days, and never once did they come to change the sheets / bring new towels / clean out the trash cans. Nothing. |For the record the back building that is beyond the swimming pool has caution and do not enter tape all over it. So it's obviously not a safe property to be in. |Do not waste your time or money staying at the is place. It broke me from ever trying to save money. You get what you pay for...
Read moreNot sure where to start. We booked this hotel through the Choice App a few miles before we arrived in Jackson. The first thing I noticed when we pulled into the parking lot that "extended stay $175 a week" was advertised on the front sign. I felt a little uncomfortable from the very beginning. Our room was up front so I thought that might be okay. The room didn't really feel clean and had a funny smell. Maybe it was just old carpet and furniture but the bedspread had stains on it but we were tired so I tried to ignore that.
During the night there were people walking around outside our room talking very loudly. At 3 am, a woman is yelling "I need more money" right outside our door.
Website, sign out front and the neon flashing sign that can be seen from the highway all say "Hot Breakfast" or "Waffles" but they offered nothing. They blamed COVID of course but didn't even try to offer the guests a granola bar or a Danish. I feel this was false advertising.
Now for my biggest problem with the Rodeway Inn. We didn't realize this until 4 days later but when we checked in, the front desk kept my husband's drivers license and didn't return it. Do you think they even bothered to try and get it back to us? We check in about 5pm and left by 7am. I think that was plenty of time for them to call us on our room phone and let us know this. Or maybe they should have tried to call my cell phone number I listed with the reservation. No! Instead I had to start calling all the hotels. The stay in Jackson was our last hotel and sure enough, after looking through a drawer or box, they found it. They did mail it to my son's address where we were staying but I just don't understand how there was no attempt on the part of the front desk to inform us that they had it all that time....
Read moreI'm not the one to leave bad reviews. I can deal with alot of stuff from a room and never leave a bad review but this time it needs it first off I booked a room from smoking and when I got there after I waited in the lobby for 15 minutes finally the guy showed up to the Counter I told him my name and all the normal stuff. He give a non smoking room and said if I wanted to smoke I can just go outside and smoke. I was OK with that I thought it was weird but whatever we get to the room and only two lights would work all the other ones was blowed. The bathroom door would not close. There was some little lights that was made onto the head board that was broke and would be easy to cut yourself or even Electric showing on them. There was no phone but the wires where sticking out of the wall and was striped back so you could see the naked wire. There was something white on the headboard right at where the mattress touches it but like I said I was not going to say nothing I did not want to get anyone in trouble but I went to get my Deposit back Which it was nothing but 30bucks he told me he had to go check the room I was cool with that because we did not smoke in the room and all towels where there heck I even half way made the bed back up he comes back being rude as heck telling me that I could not get my deposit back I ask why and he said that we smoked in the room and we didn't we smoked outside the door and we even asked into a cup because we did not have an ash tre when we was leaving I took that cup and put it in the trash and the said he smelled it and seen the cup in the trash I was trying to tell him that nobody smoked in the room but he was being very rude and talking over me so that's why I went ahead and talked about what is all wrong because he wanted...
