We purchased LG open box store display freezer unit on January 21, 2025. When we took the unit home, we noticed few visible dents and a long plus short scratches on the front door panel.
The store did not bring these items to our attention. We took the photos and went to the store to see what can be done over this issue. I talked to the store manager and was told that the base price of the freezer was $799+ and we have received a great reduction on this item. What he forgot that the item was an open box, on store floor display item and damaged with dents and scratches.
He showed me other stores selling the same item on internet. I brought to his attention that the other store item price is the same which this store offered plus the item is in a box protecting the unit from damage. The store manager did not wave from his talking point and repeated that we got a great deal. I requested him to give me the contact number of corporate office. He obliged and I left the store dejected.
My issues are as follows. The store displaced item was damaged and store failed to bring this to our attention. Neither the store manager talk to us about the protection plan nor offered one. Customer is always right motto is not applicable here.
I have given few customers to make major purchase from this store. I doubt that I will either refer to or make any more purchases...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have zero interest in shopping at this store ever again. When I walked in, the first employee greeted me and asked me if I needed anything. I told him no and that I was just browsing twice. I just recently bought a OLED TV from the Naval base and was planning on grabbing either a surge protector or a UPS along with a mount, but I didn't need help with it. I noticed that the employee who greeted me at the door was at the end of the aisle I was at the first couple places I went. I thought it was weird, but didn't want to assume that he was treating me like a criminal, so I went to several different places around the store, and he followed me to each acting like he was doing things. I decided to leave rather then be treated like a thief and on the way out, the manager, only assuming based on different color uniform and not his professionalism, said "you couldn't find a single thing you wanted in ALL of that," keying me into the fact that he was also watching me. The comment was childish enough that I turned back and told him both of them were weird for treating potential customers like that, and he replied that they were just trying to help. I definitely see now why people turn to places like Amazon in increasingly large numbers instead of getting hounded and treated like criminals by...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI cannot fully express how disappointed I am in this store, the manager, and the company. I am a family member and caregiver for a bed bound lady who was in a desperate need of a dryer. She wanted to purchase the dryer herself but it is hard since she can't go in person. I act as her power of attorney in these instances and purchase on her behalf. We purchased a dryer online and after the order was completed received an email that said she would need to go in person to pick it up. Well we obviously couldn't do that but since I am her POA I figured it would be fine. Nope!!! The arrogant manager who was smoking right beside the door when we arrivedš... wouldn't even consider being helpful, wouldn't look at the POA, basically said she had to be in person. Since that is impossible, we were given no options other than to rebuy the same dryer in store on my account. We left and went to another store and bought a better dryer with no issues and no problems. We had it installed in under an hour. I will not be supporting this store and company that has no way for a disabled person at home to purchase anything even with legal...
