Little late posting this but on March 11 2023 my wife and I went to see a movie and we used the kiosk machine to select our seating. It printed a receipt but not the tickets. We were told we could go ahead without them since it was out of paper. We got our popcorn and drinks and the ticket person was extremely rude and shrugged and told us "go on" like he hated to see us. We got seated and next thing we know a family comes up and says we are in their seats. We were in the seats we select on the kiosk but it also gave them the same ticket numbers. We decided to be nice and move down anyways to avoid conflict. Then this put us in someone else's seats and they were very rude to us and not nice at all. At this point we were ready to leave. We went back up front and spoke to the front desk and they took our receipt and told us that the machine appeared to malfunction because they didn't have any record of us purchasing tickets even though we had our receipt. They checked my card I purchased the tickets with and they still did not see where we had made any purchases. The manager comes out and tried to say, "we must have selected the wrong seats" and I told him multiple times we didn't and that his employee showed they didn't even have record of the purchase. He went on to say, "Well those Kiosk never messed up and haven't messed up in 4 years so you must have done something wrong" which we did not. I work on computers for a living and I haven't seen a kiosk that did work right all the time. Finally after waisting our time I asked for my money back, by then the movie had started so he claimed he could not refund us since it had just started, "even though they have cash drawers and can easily do an override and short the register for the amount we paid and make an adjustment at the end of the night when they cash out but nope. The manager refused. We were given free tickets in stead but I will never be back to this theater after the way were were treated and after that horrible experience when we just wanted to watch a movie on our anniversary. Do NOT go to this theater! I will not be back. If you want to go to a theater and enjoy seeing a movie and be greater by good staff and excellent service, go to Humboldt Plaza Theater instead. Better prices and way...
Read moreReview is based on my first time experience. Really enjoyed the theater.
All workers seemed nice and helpful. Theater was nearly perfect, just one complaint.
Ticket booth is inside so we dont have to wait outside in rain, cold, hot sun etc.
They have a military discount.
Good variety of concessions. It was expensive (but so is every movie theater) but if u buy the large bucket you can refill it every time you return and the large drink is refillable too.
They had the right amount of workers so I didnt have to wait long to get my food, but I've heard some people did have to.
When I first walked in the the theater room I noticed it smelled good like a new car, I dont expect that to last forever but its nice.
Possibly the best part is the seats. The seats were very comfortable with adjustable seats and a nice movable table tray. The movie was over 2 hours and did not once feel uncomfortable or have to shift my body. My only concern is that the seat switch may malfunction or break after prolonged use and might not get fixed. There was enough room to fully extent my legs (I'm 6ft) and didnt have to worry about the people in front leaning back on me or the people behind me bumping me or kicking my seat. Also the workers bring u the food you order.
The screen was well positioned, not to high up. No noticeable flaws The speakers and sound is very, very good. Not super amazing as a custom personal setup at my house, but did a good job.watched John wick 3, In the Scene with shotguns you could really feel the impact and feel the vibration from your seat..
Bathrooms were decently clean.
My one complaint .you have to pick what seats u want.my plan was to get there 30 min early so I could get exactly what seat I want but most the good seats were already taken because you could reserve early. So even though I was the first one in the thether room Iby 10 minutes, I had to get a seat on the far left...but I'll be more prepared next time...
Hopefully the management is good and this...
Read moreThis was my first time to enter this theater and business. It was a good visit.
As we approached the building, I thought to myself how clean and inviting the parking lot is. This is rare in any larger town. Yet, somehow their staff had been able to get the trash out of the parking lot and away from the curbs as one approaches the building.
The entrance to any theater determines what the experience may be. If the foyer or counters are dirty or sticky, if the staff is not courteous, then the experience probably won't be pleasant. However that was not the case here. The foyer was clean, there were no lingering smells of "char-grilled" food, and the area at the counters and even the "video game" area was cleaned. I was impressed.
The ticket counter attendant had a pleasant voice and addressed us in a courteous manner--and with manners!! We purchased our tickets (half price on Tuesdays) and selected our seats in the auditorium we were to attend.
We then made our way the concessions stand to order a bag of popcorn and was asked if we wanted butter with the popcorn--of course we do, thanks for asking. I collected our popcorn and our bottled water and thanked the attendant. We made the way to our seats in a freshly cleaned auditorium and located our seats and settled in for the movie we selected.
The experience was very refreshing and the cleanliness of the building extended beyond the exterior, foyer and screening rooms. The operators' passion for a good experience shoes in the effort to keep the whole location clean.
All in all I give this experience a five star count, because unlike so many places in any line of business, the employees demonstrated an "over the top" attitude to the facility we were visiting. And the attitude of the employees encouraged me to want to think about a return trip for another movie.
Not bad, Empire....
