So I stayed here April 24 through April 27 the worst hotel experience ever not only was I racially profiled I was lied to by the reservation and was told jacuzzi was working which it was not working, the jacuzzi looked like a discussing sewer pool I had to pay a 100 dollars cash deposit cause they would not hold it on my card and by the way the website says they do not accept cash making a point cause the front desk lady said it stated a cash deposit on the website I was down there for my uncle funeral I drove 9 hours only to get there to have to find an ATM the lady at check in asked me twice was I a smoker I had my daughter and my 2 year old grandson checked in the room I asked one of the non black guest did they have to give a cash deposit I was told from them no after leaving my uncle's viewing I hear gunshots in the parking lot so we're running in the lobby for our lives nothing worked at the hotel the business center was closed the fitness room closed and the breakfast was terrible no syrup and grits were griddy no orange juice I had to wait 15 minutes before checking the room before I could get my deposit and leave I spent 130 dollars a night definitely not worth the price this place needs to be closed down by the health department immediately to racially profile a guest when dealing with the loss of uncle the worst experience ever if you are a person of color do not come to this hotel the insensitive of this hotel is insane and I assure everyone that have a good review is not black.

The front desk ladies are very nice. Area is nice. But my biggest complaint is my room, #206, has a bad case of mold. I didn’t bother to ask for a new room since I was so tired and I’m sure it wouldn’t kill me with my short stay but I’m just giving a heads up to future costumers. My room had a smell to it from the mold and it’s stuffy. Every surface in the room I didn’t feel comfortable touching. Ugh the door knobs felt gross. You can tell they haven’t been wiped off. Bathroom was clean tho. The headboard was nasty!!!! Sheets and bed was good and comfortable. I wouldn’t dare sit on the chairs they have in there but I mean it’s a hotel. Im not overly picky but these are just notable things I wanted to mention. But overall my experience has been fine! I’d recommend it but just not this moldy room lol. I would’ve been more comfortable if I had brought a can of disinfectant spray with me to spray stuff down. And no, not because of Covid. Things just didn't feel like it was wiped down before putting a new customer in it. Wendy’s is right in front the hotel. There’s a Waffle House and Dunkin Donuts next to Exxon around the corner. Trucker friendly with spacious truck parking!!!!

The good: fairly quiet while we were there. The room seemed clean. Not too far from the places we wanted to see. Breakfast was decent, more than just a boiled egg, toast, and fruit like some hotels. The not so good: the hallways stank. The mini fridge loudly ticked non-stop like a time bomb (must have been the defrost timer). The semi-opaque window cover let in way too much light without any other curtains, which wasn't good for sleep (our room was at the same level as the parking lot lights as shown in pic). A metal plate was coming loose in the tub, but that didn't really affect us. UPDATE: Thanks for the response. I did check to see if there was another window roller for blackout but didn't see one. Not sure how I could have missed it -- but maybe I did! Also check the minifridge because we had to unplug it to sleep in peace from the ticking noise.

Best hotel, compares to sleep Inn although a manager at sleep told me, not ask me to go to my room she acted like she could give me orders according to my stay at sleep inn, she was like shevowned the place didnt go there to take orders from her or anyone. She wasnt paying my tab. Didnt matter thou anyone is entitled to respect. Yall know what she, she thought she could do...yeah!!! At Country Inn Siutes, Breakfast is great. It's quiet. They adhered to what was asked of them. Clean no roaches. When eye tell u they really keep it clean for a hotel It's one of the much better hotels in jacksonville based on cleanliness. There pictures do not lie. Thats not an understatement. Jacksonville have the worst hotels and old out dated furniture. There deal with different people different cleaning aspects. My clean is definitely not your clean respect that, please people in my situation had to live in a lot of hotels in jacksonville. When eye got to country inn it was a rap... price fir me was okay could be cheaper. You get service thou. Towels washed beds will get made. Policy Better than crown plaza. At Red roof inn they are thuged out, Found at crown plaza the accountant lied said he was a mannager. He acted like J Edgar Hoover. Y would u lie concerning ur position? We know...Then u an your emp get worried because u are videoed, disrimination Crown Plaza. At, Country Inn they are great to help. wasn't harrased as eye was like all the other hotels and discriminated against. U have privacy. If eye had to go back eye would. There was a discrepancy concerning method of payment. "If it works and u are not getting feed back what's the problem". People Payment method is what it is at most hotels didnt really write that correctly. My apology to the manager. Q is awesome as well as the big lady, they all are.😁 sorry guys n gals sometime there is a lot going on with me. Country Inn as far as cleanliness its clean folks they will take car of it, just ask. No hotel is perfect, when eye compare believe me. Compared to most hotels in jacksonville, they are dumps font know how to warm market. when u go to the reviews people. Get your ledger out. Weigh the good and bad. We all have a lot going on sometime. At country inn u can have it your ways simply follow the rules. People there really try hard. It's a busines people. They owe u nothing except what they offer respect cleanliness, accommodations. Try some of this other crapp in jacksonville. U will see😮😮😮 thank you all for...

I didn't want to give any stars.. The General manager is by far the worst manager I've seen in my 40 yrs. on earth. I had a reservation at the hotel by it and he completely disregarded the fact that I said I have a reservation at Comfort suites. He was more concerned about the money verses the deception of a person. I told him my son would pay and he would use his card. In short the for the said was not filled out satisfactory and that he could not charge my sons card without his permission. I asked for my son's info back and I asked him to delete the email with the info which was his DL and CC card. He told me that he had deleted it. Well low and behold he hadn't deleted anything in fact he charged the card after I left. I was not allowed to get the room so why was I charged when I never even had a reservation there. I called to ask why he says my son needs to call and apologize for calling mind you he had called my phone after me leaving to tell me my ADULT son cursed at him. Really???? So I'm assuming because his feelings are hurt he charged the card FRAUDULENTLY!!!!!! I called again today to make him aware that I never had a reservation so why was the card charged. He said because my son needs to call and apologize. Last I knew just because you get upset as a management you don't lie about stored personal info and you don't steal from people. I asked for his superiors contact info he said he was the representative for them. I then asked are you refusing to give me a corporate number or owners info he then said yes I am. I would not trust my personal info with this hotel for fear of theft because that's exactly what he did. And then he told me to tell my bank to call him. I didn't stay at the hotel nor did he have a signed document to charge the card his words. But yet he charged it for $170 and change!!!!!! AVOID THIS HOTEL!!!!!!!!!...

The hotel was absolutely not what we were looking for. It is located out of the way / difficult to see area not too far from I10. The area is close to store supply loading areas for various companies, lots of big transfer trucks. Upon entering the hotel, it had a smell. The rooms were damp, musty with a smoke like smell. The building looks old and worn with dirty walls, carpets and worn out furniture. Perhaps the hotel is old, worn out and in need of a complete overhaul. The hotel did not have what was advertised on the web. The room looked dirty because of the various yucky looking stains throughout coupled with the smell. The curtains and window screens were disgusting and ripped. The pull out couch ($129.00 suite) had dirty used linen and the springs were broken. We did receive new linen, but it was also was stained / soiled, leaving us with an uncomfortable feeling.

Upon walking down to the breakfast area, we noticed a strong (non- food) smell that permeated the halls, and it was very unpleasant to the point that my appetite left me (and my family). The hot breakfast was not edible, so we tried to eat items like cereal or muffins which were safer than the eggs and sausage. The hotel is what it is. It is like a one star economy hotel (Motel 8 quality) that charges a total of $137.30 (with taxes / fees) per night.

An update 7/10/19 The hotel response was that they could not locate a record of my staying there. I would really like to have my total $137.30 back on my credit card if there is no record of my staying there at Country Inn and Suites, Jacksonville West, FL. I initially picked this hotel based on the good reviews. How did this hotel get so many good reviews? Be careful...
