Quality Inn Jacksonville - Orange Park near Naval Air Station — Hotel in Jacksonville

The first thing I smelled was the smell of a cleaning screw trying to hide the smell of weed in your lobby.

ROOM 323 You claimed to be a non-smoking environment, yet the room I was placed smelled like smoke. Since we've been on the road for so long, I managed to endure for a night, but I ended up with a headache due to the smell. I wish I checked the reviews on Google prior to checking-in, and your Google reviews claimed, and had photos of your bathroom ceilings with mold, and sure enough it did not disappoint. I tried turning on the AC in room 323, but because it smelled like there hasn't been any maintenance done on it in months. I turned it back off. It smelled like mold.

ROOM 423 Next day I asked for a room change and Ms. Ardebra was kind enough to help me out. The room smelled better, but it still didn't live up to my expectations "Quality." The door required a lot of force to open and close. There are a lot of little ant like critters crawling around. The TV was has a permanent blue shade on it which we just gave up on using.

It just seems like you give don't have a team that cares about your reputation here. If you want me to like it all you had to do is hire the right people. a basic checklist would have allowed you to fix all this, but maybe you do have a checklist and your team isn't using it. Or maybe your team is using it and you don't want to pay to maintain your facility because you're making enough money, who knows. I hope you know Jesus, cuz if you aren't answering for this, you sure will when the judgement day comes. That's if you're saved that is.

I like staying with Quality Inns most of the time. This time the hotel lost water due to a malfunction of some sort, so we were unable to shower or flush the toilet from 1 A.M. till well after 9:30 A.M. This caused an issue getting ready to leave and be checked out by 11. While we did manage to do so, it definitely put us behind. We were told that we would be submitted for a free night to make up for the inconvenience, but that still has not happened. Why I am giving a so so rating has more to do with the lack of maintenance of the hotel where the pool was not being kept up and ready to enjoy as my biggest concern. Driving to Florida to vacation with hopes of enjoying the sun and relaxing in the pool should be a given, but it was not open due to lack of maintenance. It looked like it was operating correctly, but had not been shocked or cleaned. This hotel could be managed better. The staff were friendly and professional. Sorry to have to leave a sad review. I honestly booked the wrong hotel. I was supposed to stay 4 total nights. The hotel smells like smoke, like an old Las Vegas casino. There were some unsavory people hanging out downstairs and one in particular in the elevator. I did not feel safe at all. The room had a weird smell, the toilet seat had stains. The bedside table had stains. The comforter had stains. There was a hair on my hand towel (not mine). The air conditioner looked dirty and I felt like there was gross air blowing on me (started sneezing when I arrived). All around, it was not a pleasant hotel. I went back downstairs to tell the sweet front desk girl that I would be checking out in the morning. She understood. She was very kind. In the morning, I checked out with another very sweet front desk lady and left in my pjs because I didn’t even want to shower there. I am still waiting for my refund. We’ll see how long that takes. Honestly, it was not a nice place and definitely not even worth the almost $400 I paid for 4 nights. I would NOT recommend this hotel. I think corporate needs to go take a look and see if they would enjoy paying to stay...
