We stayed at this hotel when we were in town for a family funeral and were very pleased with the accomodations and the hotel.
The hotel itself is very easy to get to and has ample parking in a nice open area. The hotel seems a bit older, and maybe a little dated, but was extremely clean, both in the room as well as the common areas. It had a nice, clean smell in the halls and even the stairwell. The entry area is very roomy with two different sitting areas, which was great as there were a few other family members staying there so we were able to visit with eachother while we were all in town. The hotel also has a meeting room/breakfast area which had ample space and was another nice place to gather to spend time together, although I think the room is closed after breakfast and reopens later in the day.
The complimentary breakfast was really tasty. There weren't a ton of options, but there was definitely a sufficient amount and everything there was hot and fresh. The area was also very clean and well maintained.
We didn't utilize the pool or fitness center, so I can't review those, but the rest of the hotel was kept very clean. The only very minor negative (not a complaint, just negative), is that the entrance to the hotel is a little hidden and underwhelming. I also felt that the check-in desk was a little set back and not as welcoming as I would think it should be. The staff were nice, kind of quiet, but just not super welcoming.
If in the area again, I would definitely stay at the Jefferson...

Read moreThe management here is very unprofessional and unorganized. My original reservation was lost and when they rebooked our stay, it was entered for one night instead of two. We received a very rude phone call in the morning asking why we had not yet checked out. When I went down to the front desk to sort out the issue, the lady was very short with me and did not apologize for the hotel's mistakes. The first thing we noticed upon entering the room is that the carpets looked like they have not been vacuumed since they have been installed. The breakfast options are very limited. The hotel is not very dog friendly. We stayed here because we had a voucher for a 2 night stay. I inquired about dogs upon our initial reservation and we were told that would be allowed. It was a surprise when the hotel wanted to charge us additionally because our dogs were over the 45 lbs threshold that was not previously disclosed. Our dogs are hardly over that weight and are very well behaved. After all the issues we had with the hotel, we ended up checking out after less than 24 hours into our 2 night stay. Prior to leaving our dog cut her paw in the grassy area behind the hotel.
Note: I deleted my initial review to leave a more detailed response as the owner replied looking to only argue and make excuses rather than make things right from our...
