I can’t believe I haven’t done a review on these guys yet! I’ve been to this place twice so far since moving to Jefferson.

1. I came to the shop because the tire on my driver side rear kept leaking air slowly. I explained to them that I’ve had this fixed repeated by the place that installed the tires. When one of the mechanics checked it out, they noticed the last time someone tried to repair it, they just filled the hole with a bunch of gunk. This was proven to be ineffective so the mechanic removed the gunk, sautered it off, and filled the hole with a plug and patched it up afterwards. I haven’t had any problems since that repair. They even gave me a discount for my troubles! Talk about good service!

2. I left my car overnight at work and had them tow my car to their site because it wouldn’t start for me. Nick said it started up when they arrived to look at my car. He tried a few times more in the morning before I came to get it. Knowing my luck, it didn’t work even with Nick in hindsight. I tried his suggestion of putting my foot on the gas pedal when I start but it just wouldn’t turn over. So they put a new starter in my car. They got it done sooner than I anticipated. They exceeded all of my expectations! They even gave me a ride to and from my place so that I wouldn’t have to walk a far distance again.

I truly recommend these guys! They are genuine, knowledgeable, and decently priced!

If you want to save a few bucks--and I do mean JUST a few--then go to a discount tire shop that may or may not have a knowledgeable guy mounting your tires and telling you what you should buy--possibly earning a commission to up-sell you. Or, if you value excellent customer service from a home-town tire dealer that's been in business for decades, and which has your best interest and safety a first priority, then Wahl McAtee in Jefferson is your choice. My latest purchase found Everett and Angie, via several emails, guiding me on just the right tires I needed for my Rubicon. My previous purchase, Mike, the owner, sold me some truck tires and then proceeded to head from the showroom right out to the shop to, himself, change out my tires....

I had an excellent experience at Goodyear Tire recently. I was an hour away from home when a piece of plastic underneath my car fell down and started scraping against the pavement, making a very loud noise. I decided to stop by Goodyear Tire to see if they could help. I was prepared to drive home with the issue unless they had a tool and could quickly remove the piece for me. To my surprise, they assisted me immediately and fixed the problem in just 10 minutes without charging me a dime. Their prompt and generous service truly made my day.
