Western Motel — Hotel in Jesup

This place was terrible. I had originally had reservations at the Days Inn, however there was some miscommunication and they did not have a vacancy. At 11:00 at night and traveling with a 3 year old, no other vacancy in town except this motel and I can see why. When I checked in the clerk did not ask for a credit card for incidentals, which I thought was odd. As soon as I got my bags into the room, I recieved a call from a restricted number asking if I was the lady with the big boobs. I ended the call and immediately knew that it was the front desk clerk calling at that time of the night. When I asked for more towels than the 2 towels provided, I had to take my dirty towels to the front desk. I normally do not have to remove my dirty towels from my hotel room. My stay was for 2 nights. On the evening of my last night there, as I was getting out of my car, there was a prostitue outside the motel talking to some gentlemen in a car(which ended up parking and staying for a little while). The room was not soundproof, we could everything going on above us. Cars pulling in and staylng for a couple of hours and then leaving. On the morning of our departure, there was roachbug crawling across the tv. When I looked at the back of the tv, it was covered in roach bugs. I was afraid to take my bags into my house after getting home for fear of spreading the roach bugs into my home. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee that you had to make yourself. 2 almost empty old containers of cereal and a small dorm refrig that contained half a jug of outdated milk and orange juice. I normally would never write a review on anything. If it is not good, I just dont return, however I dont want anyone to be decieved by the pictures on the internet. This is not a good motel. It appears to be a hotel for adult entertainment that is against the law. The only channels on the tv is adult channels. No channels at all for children, this should have told me something!! NASTY INHUMANE OWNER!! Rented 3 nights stay, in home town for my brothers funeral, room for myself and my daughter, Sunday Monday and Tuesday nights. My sister and her 3 children rented a side by side room for Monday night. Check out at 11 and they came to my room to change for services held at 1PM. Owner calls my room in the middle of us all getting ready to go to the funeral home and informs me I will have to pay extra to keep my prepaid room for the night because I did not "ask permission" to have other people in the room!!! These "other people" had just stayed and paid him full rate for their room and were only in my room for less than 1 hour!! When I refused, he had the audacity to call the police on me and he KNEW why we were in town!! Repeated he stated, "My motel, my rules." As if dealing with roaches, leaking refrigerator, a supposed cable/satellite outage, a broken toilet tank cover, and faulty air conditioner (expected and accepted due to the rate and our circumstances) weren't enough, he decided to add extortion to the list!! I have stayed in this motel many times over several years due to it's proximity to my family home and it's rates. I have accepted it's "low-budget" conditions and amenities without complaint because I knew I was getting what I paid for. But this experience was beyond reason and completely uncalled for! DO NOT FOR ANY REASON choose this motel in your travels! DO NOT allow this person to continue to make a living profit to continue to stay in this town! Make it so he has to return to where he came from and extort his own...

I stayed on the night of May 26, 2017. Staff was very curteous and accomodating. Rooms were ok giving the economical price. Bed and living areas were clean and adequate for what I needed. I was disappointed seeing a dark stain on the bottom of the bathtub, I did have a noise issue that was resolved immediately upon contacting front desk, there is a $10 charge for a late check out which I found disappointing. Overall assessment: This appears to be a family owned and run establishment and giving the area, I would recommend this hotel if you find yourself in Jesup and need a place to lay your head last minute. They were able to accomodate me late (9pm) on a very busy night in Jesup and kept the price low when it would have been very easy to receive more for the room. The proprietor of this hotel I found to be very honest and trustworthy, I would definitely stay again based on the staff's flexibility...
