So this has been my go to place anytime I decided on Chinese while in Jesup. Always dined in, and never had a bad experience, food was always A++, wait staff was great and the atmosphere welcoming and inviting.if this review were based off solely my dine in experience I would give it a 5 ⭐ However this evening I had the displeasure of arriving about 45 minutes before closing and the dining room was closed. So we opted for take out, bad decision the gentleman at the counter clearly hates his job or was furious.that we wanted to place an order, I thought he was going to put his finger right through the computer screen he was entering the selections so hard. Not a smile on his face to be seen. We always get hot and sour soup it's generally phenomenal,.not this time I'm not sure what was amiss but it lacked color and that rich robust flavor we have grown to love and crave. I normally have the Flaming Polynesian but that wasn't available for take out so I had sweet and sour shrimp, there was so much tempura breading it looked as if the shrimp were going to be large only to realize you tasted more coating than the shrimp itself. The fried rice was good as it usually is. My suggestion is if it's the first time you plan to eat here make sure you get there early so you can enjoy the real deliciousness of their food. Because if it's close to closing time you might as well go across the highway to fast food joint and buy from the $1 $2 $3 dollar menu, it will save you money and...
Read moreFor me there are a number of issues with this restaurant. The service was pretty good. Our waitress came back several times to ask if we were good, very attentive . We had the sweet & sour chicken with veggies, wonton soup & fried cheese wontons. The soup was fantastic, nice and clean, a great taste and piping hot. The chicken was medium warm & the veggies were not even lukewarm. My fried wontons were also just barely warm as if they’d been sitting under a lamp. Not even the cheese was warm. The edges were chewy, so not too tasty. The building is old, which I get, but cleanliness goes a long way when you’re eating out and ensuring the place you’re eating has cooks & staff that care about cleanliness of their establishment. Here, I’m not so sure. When we drove up the first thing I noticed was an open screened window. It was dark looking and the screen was filthy. The window sill was equally disgusting. I realized it was the kitchen and the nastiness is grease. Yuck! 😳Inside, the baseboards and walls all are in need of attention. They are unkept and dirty. It could use an updated paint job, but even old stuff can be kept clean if there are no funds for that kind of upgrades. The baseboards around the entire facility were filthy, which is discouraging. I truly wanted to like and enjoy this place, but just cannot under the...
