We decided to stay here as the year before we had stayed and had no problems. We checked in on July 10 and that same night my sister started to complain about how the room looked and felt. She said she had seen bugs, but I didn't. Her bed was completely sunken in the middle. She had asked the Manager to switch us to another room but that room was even worse. It was late and we had just drove 15 hours from Atlanta, so we stayed. I had a migraine and I went straight to sleep, so I really didn't notice anything. The next day though is when I noticed the bugs actually coming out of the bathroom faucet. We had to leave and My sister told the manager to have someone clean up and give us new sheets. When we came back nothings was done. She called the manager and said that shower needed to be cleaned. The manager said that it was late and that her onsite cleaning people were already asleep. My sister asked for cleaning supplies, but the rags that the manager brought actually had bugs on them also. My sister had to go out and purchase cleaning supplies to clean the bathtub and sink. She also had to get bug spray for the room. My sister was told someone that works there that the room should have never been rented out and should have been placed out of commission. Come to find out they have gone through multiple manager and staff. My dad and my son were in another room and didn't seem to have a problem until the day we checked out. I noticed bumps all over my son's body. He had been bitten all over. I took photos of everything. My dad was going to stay longer in town so we were going to extend his stay. I went to use the bathroom in his room and right before I sat down I saw something on the wall moving. I looked closely and it was a bug. Looked like a tick or something. I took a video and photo of it. We checked him out that day as well. We didn't say anything to the manager because she truly didn't care and was going to put us in a room worse than the first one, so obviously didn't matter telling her. They were doing renovations last year but doesn't appear as if anything has been done. In fact it looked worse than last year. When we got back I had to take my son to Urgent care as the bumps got worse and they had to give...
Read moreThe black guy who helped me was so nice , great customer service. The rooms are a nice size. They have a mini fridge and a microwave.the mini fridge doesn't make the the drinks super cold , it has a coolness . There is a ironing board and a blow dryer, and a small maybe a 32 " in if that. They do charge $10 for a dog , free for a service dog but u have to bring proof. The only thing that made things really uncomfortable and annoying was the owner of the place(it's a privately owned super 8) kept looking over the shoulder of the receptionist , like he didn't trust him. The owner went over the receptionists shoulders and started to type and fix things. Also the owner stares at you and looks at what your doing. I get he's the owner and doesn't want anyone to do anything , but for me it feels weird. There is a couple of other hotels near by . If I would have planned my trip properly, I would have stayed somewhere else. Super 8 has no coin laundry mat for it's patron, no pool, no anything. I am definitely not going Into there breakfast that they have. I don't want to be stared at, or have someone keep looking at what I'm doing. The motel is cheap, it was only$56 with tax for a room with the beds for 2 adults and 2 kids. Also the floors were so so filthy!! My kids socks were black just in the 10 hrs that we were here! And my husband's feet got black cuz he walked barefoot. I definitely would NOT recommend. . Unless u absolutely had no choice. Only reason I gave it a 3 star was because the receptionists that worked there that helped me before the owner was over his shoulders trying to do his work. Other than that it would have been a 1 star. Trust these reviews , we write them to help others not make the same mistake we did, or not have the...
Read moreBooked this room months before. We even called twice to confirm we had a handicap accessible room. It was in NO WAY handicap accessible. Despite the lack of room for a wheelchair to move around, the deal breaker was the bathroom. There was nothing about the shower that made it accessible, but the worst part was the grab bars that were supposed to be for the toilet. One directly behind the toilet which is no help if you are sitting & the one on the side wall was 3 feet away. My Mother-In-law could not even get off the toilet. Went to the front desk to advise this was not handicap accessible per ADA & they didnt seem to care at all. They gave my mother-in-law her money back but the only other hotel available that weekend (KSU Graduation weekend) was back in Manhattan for $450. We had to take her to Manhattan because she could NOT stay in the Super 8 hotel. We had to stay back at the Super 8 for the night because we werent spending $450 for a room at 9pm. The website is misleading & also the staff when I called. When asked if handicap accessible the answer should have been NO per ADA. Alos, there was a Garden hose just blocking the sidewalk. Its hard enough having to travel when you have to rely on a wheelchair, but come on people. Do better!||We have no issue in staying at a cheap hotel (this was double what it normally is because of Graduation weekend) but this one was so run down; outlet next to the sink didnt work, luke-warm water in the shower, mold, mold, mold. Breakfast was a few hardboiled eggs, gravy & bagels. No fruit, no yogurt, no biscuits. ||Just be warned. I dont expect much for the price but this is the worst one I have...
