I've eaten here several times and never had a bad experience until today. I ordered a taco plate, and when it arrived it looked amazing. I put my pickled onions and salsa on top, took one bite and the tortilla was so soggy that it just ripped to shreds and all the contents fell out onto the plate. Same thing happened with the other 2 tacos, except they fell apart as soon as I picked them up. I set my plate aside, hoping to have the tacos remade, or get some fresh tortillas, at the very least. But it was almost 20 minutes before our server ever came back to our table, and by that time the other people I was with were done with their meals. I didn't want to wait any longer to get my food fixed, and then have everyone wait on me while I ate, so I just sent the plate back. But, it turns out I could've gotten my plate fixed because we didn't get our checks for another 40 minutes. Everytime the server came by to see if we were ready(3 times before we actually got the checks), we said yes, and she walked away and never returned with the check. When I finally do get my check and go to pay, my server refused to take the plate off of my bill, so I had to pay for a meal I did not even get to enjoy. First time in my life that I never left a tip. Probably won't be going back here if this is a regular policy of theirs. The 6th street McDonald's has better customer service when they mess...

After hearing about the food from a customer of mine, I decided to give it a try. You can only have so much McDonald's or Burger King before you need a break. I looked at their lunch menu, entree's for 10.50 each. The taco salad sounded good. While it wasn't fancy looking the dish had well seasoned ground beef and some Chihuahua cheese then topped with lettuce and sour cream. It really could have had a few slices of fresh jalapeno on top and a bit of salsa to make it even better. But you can always ask. Most of the time you are going to get some nasty, been in the jar a couple years pickled jalapenos. The taco salad was better than most. If you get the meat fresh before it sits it a steam bath it tastes better and the texture is better if its been freshly cooked on the flat top. Update 1-9-2025 We stopped in last week for a dinner after coming to JC to pick up a Walmart order. The dining choices closer to the highway were packed, but I knew a little farther away was going to be worth it. We had great service, good food and the blueberry jalapeno margarita was excellent. The staff was very friendly and it was worth going a little farther. Did I say the guacamole was out of this world?

All in all it was good, I'll be back to try something...

First Off- I have been in Phoenix Arizona for the last 20 years and I have been privileged to eat Authentic Mexican food from both my in-laws and restaurants in the community...El Patron Dos is LEGIT! Real Mexican food with a great taste, multiple options, amazing smiling service and that was when it was really busy! The prices they charge for a dish here are CHEAPER than what you would see in a metropolitan area, so take advantage of the Mid-Country discount! The place was busy, but we'll staffed and EVERYTHING was handled with precision and care...I am really amazed at the smoothness of operations...That says GREAT MANAGEMENT to me! We ordered a Steak Fajita Plate, a Chilaquilas Plate with Salsa Verde and I ordered Pozole with all the trimmings(and a tamale de res). We took a 2 personal sized Caramel Flan to go for a snack later....overall, EXCELLENT OUTING! Great job to...

Love this place! Our favorite place to eat in Junction City! The good service starts when we walk in the door, and doesn't quit till we walk out. The food is beautiful and delicious! We always get 2 meals out of it. We love it for breakfast with a fried egg on top! We usually get the fajitas and the El Pollo. El Pollo is a great way to get kids to eat their veggies! The margaritas are so good, and they have limited time flavors sometimes, so get one while you can! Reasonably priced. We go in and share a plate of nachos, with iced tea and the complimentary chips and salsa, it's about $20. They're always fairly to very busy, but we never wait very long for anything. Everyone seems to be really enjoying themselves! The only downsides are the parking is tricky, and you're not supposed to put tp down the toilet...? Other than that, we highly recommend this restaurant.

I have to say upfront, I was never a big fan of Mexican food, this place changed that. My family and I went there for a 2nd time and this time it was Tuesday and $6 huge margaritas that were delicious! We moved on to the food and I grabbed the burrito Jefe. It's hard to describe how good this was. Steak, chicken, shrimp with whatever sauce was on it was straight fire. The rice served with it was beyond good. I almost started locking the plate but, my wife gave me the look. Hands down you have to try this spot. You will not regret it, I promise!
