I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED my stay here. My only regret is not booking for a couple of days (I am moving cross country from the east coast and needed a place to rest). I fell in love with this area and even my short stay at Flathead Lake Resort was a memorable one! It is just walking distance from the beach and it is probably the most beautiful water/lake I have ever seen. The owners were super attentive and responsive; also, pet-friendly location!!! Do yourself a favor and experience this lovely resort! I will most definitely be back ❤️. P.S. check out Max's Market while you're here. Lovely store and delicious cafe ❤️

I booked a camper and made other plans and as you can see I specifically asked I will only cancel if I could be reimbursed IF someone else wanted to take it-see attached screenshot ) My email was never answered in regards to this question . My camper was canceled with no refund . Unprofessional. This is going to Trip Advisor and Booking. And by the way the photos here are completely misleading -very run down. Answer to owner : Just ridiculous . Simple : I was willing to relist only if I could get reimbursed. I never got an answer -I have the email trail. Just be careful here!

Fantastic little Resort. The managers of the resort Josh and Brittan are The coolest people, easy going, feels like your chatting with good friends. They make sure you have everything you need and are quick with responses. The rooms are comfortable and each has their own decorative pieces and vibes. The lake access is perfect for Ice cold Morning plunges and phenomenal sunsets! You'll definitely enjoy your stay! Don't delay Book today! Thanks Josh and Brittan Your The best!

Where to begin?! This was our first experience staying at the Flathead Lake Resort and if we could give a 6/5 star review we would! Our hosts Josh and Brittain were outstanding! Josh was more like our guide for our trip! He answered all of our questions with patience and his response time was prompt. In addition to providing excellent customer service, Josh went above and beyond to ensure our comfortability on our trip. If you are on the fence about booking with Josh and Brittain - just book! You won’t regret it.

We stayed just a short walk to the clean restrooms and the private beach! Brittain didn’t miss any details - she curated some quality Turkish towels for our needs, a hair blow dryer, and provided eco friendly shampoo, conditioner and body wash that smelled amazing and was good for the planet. The resort has water rentals - we enjoyed the canoe. Our 3 year old loved it. The resort has a super chill, family like, co-op type vibe. One day there was a bowl of fresh picked cherries on the picnic table for all guests to enjoy with a little namaste note. You will feel all the good vibes if you stay at the Flathead Lake Resort.

Can’t finish this review without mentioning one of the best parts! Our lovely hosts are connected with an incredible natural / organic market called Max’s Market in Bigfork. We flew to Montana and camped the whole time - so enjoying healthy clean foods while on the road that were pre-prepared was something we were hoping to find. Before our trip we talked with Jenny over at Max’s Market and told her our food preferences and she sent us over some amazing options to choose from for our enjoyment. Not only did she pack them up for us with plenty of ice, but we were able to use the ice chest for the duration of our trip which was uber helpful being that we flew. The best part is that Josh picked the ice chest up on the way to to the airport so we were literally all set to go the minute he picked us up. You can pay to have him pick you up at the airport and bring you back to his resort. Back to the food real quick - it was delicious! We tried organic green salads with homemade dressings; quinoa salad; sandwiches made with local fresh bread; house made hummus and veggies; a smoothie bowl with in house granola; the chocolate chips cookies OMG; the Rad Max bars jam packed with protein, fiber, energy and flavor; and our favorite - the infamous scuffins! Scuffins are a cross between a muffin and a scone chock full of juicy huckleberries and blueberries. A little taste of heaven! If you are planning to go to GNP - keep in mind that almost all of the restaurants in the park are take out only, they have very limited options, and the lines are long! Do yourself a favor and order your food ahead of time through Josh and Jenny. You won’t regret it!

Lastly, we weren’t paid for this review - all of the opinions are our own, and we didn’t know the hosts from Adam. We left our trip inspired by their kindness - true salt of the earth type of people. Our parents who were traveling with us in an RV had some issues with their new truck (it’s extremely difficult to get into a mechanic right now due to covid) and Josh offered to help them at no cost to move their RV and transport them to another campground if needed until they could get things worked out. Thankfully we didn’t need to take him up on this, but just knowing he was willing to help, brought my parents and us peace of mind. Thanks again Josh, Brittain, and Jenny for your part in an unforgettable...

They try. We had a hard time and I hope its not like this for everyone and it was a fluke with us. We booked one cabin and before we even got there they charged a different amount than initially stated in the receipt. They refunded us that plus some that their booking site shouldn't have charged us that they caught(good on them). We got there, the room had fleas had them actually jumping on us and grabbed from my husbands leg(pet friendly so understandable) but we didn't want to stay in that cabin. They bent over backwards to fix the situation for us. Put us in another room for the night that was a lower rate and were going to switch us to one with a much higher rate. I made sure it wouldn't be an extra cost to us otherwise we just planned to stay the night and head home, they confirmed there wouldn't be an extra cost. We had an appointment the next day a couple hours away(the main point of the trip) they didn't tell us they needed us out of the other room by a certain time due to someone booking the one we stayed in for the one night. Got a text asking when we would be back when I said a couple hours due to location they informed me they would move our stuff for us to the new cabin. We would have packed up our stuff had we known and just taken it with us to avoid someone handling our things. Got passed that and got the new cabin. Went home a day early. We looked at our credit card about a week later to see if the pet deposit had been refunded, it hadn't, but we did however have a $300+ extra charge from them. Called them up, they informed us that there had NOT been fleas in the one cabin and that they had a bug guy out(wondering how he searched for them, from our experience with pests such as fleas they just treat they don't search for them. They had someone in the flea cabin next day) . They told us well yes you would get charged that because of the difference in price and its not like its a new charge, I said no i specifically asked your employee about the charges and we don't look at the credit card every day for the charges. She said she would talk to the employee and call back. She called back and said that she would refund us, and also refunded the pet deposit after we asked about that as well and also refunded the amount that the lesser room costed without even asking for that.

Things about the actual facility:

Beds are uncomfortable, hard to sleep in due to being old spring mattresses that creek and dig into you and dont have support anymore.

Beach is a private shareholder beach for the neighborhood not just the resort and is a good walk away with no parking. Wasn't very clean, fish hooks, small trash. Beach is about 50 ft wide and not very private felt like we were disturbing the people that had houses on either side of the private-ish beach.

Staff is very friendly during your visit.

Found trash in room from previous occupant.

Lots of things that say out of order. Both inside the cabins and outside.

Grounds aren't super well maintained. Lots of dog poop even with the available bags that the resort has in various locations.

Seems like the resort has maybe seen...

Let me start by saying WOW! Blown away by the hospitality of Josh, Brittain and the resort staff that follows! My ten year old Boy and I needed a place when our housing fell through on our move to Montana. I called Josh and he didn’t think there was any cabins available but assured me he’d ask his wife Brittain to make absolute sure and he did just that. Brittain found a cute cabin for us for the first few weeks called “The Blue “ -) Adorable cabin with amazing energy! After that we moved to the Ankler Cabin. Little bigger with more room for our sweet Dog Bo to roam:) Lastly we are staying in the Bird Cabin- SO adorable- little studio! We have been treated like family from day one and taken care of in every way possible. Josh went out of his way to make sure my internet was top notch as I work from home, With so many last min request to take out the kayaks, canoe, and paddle boards(in which the staff is amazing at helping carry down to Beautiful Flathead lake! Brittain and Josh sang to my son as we drove up to our cabin for his Tenth bday. Cake and ice cream in hand with a card signed by all the staff! Made my little guys Birthday so special! This place truly is magical with little cabins and campers ! Flathead lake is a short walk with chairs, picnic table , a BBQ pit and a camp fire great for roasting marsh mellows, Josh and Brittain had a meet and greet down there by the lake where everyone was invited to visit and make s’mores by the camp fire!! We will miss it here for sure!! I would highly recommend you stay here and I will def be referring my friends and family to stay here with no doubt they will love there stay and be taken care of. A place where you truly arrive as guests and leave as friends ! Thank you Josh and Brittain along with staff for all your love during our stay. You sure have made our move enjoyable we will miss you, and for old time sake we...
