At 11:30pm on May 12, 2025, we were woken up by some very aggressive knocking on our door. There were two large men saying they were management and asking why we had not checked out. As it was our second night and we had no issues previously, I of course did not open the door. The man speaking had no identification and the doors open directly outside so I thought someone was trying to get into our room to rob us. He had a thick accent and was difficult to understand but his anger was clear. Next, our phone rang with the same aggressive voice demanding to know my name. I was confused how they got the room number and refused to say anything since none of this made sense except that perhaps someone was trying to get us to leave the room to rob us. When I hung up, he called again. Finally, I unplugged the phone. I should have called 911 but since the harassment stopped, I assumed the criminals had left the premises and it would be a moot point. We lost a lot of sleep fearing we may be unsafe.||The next morning, I approached the front desk to inform them that someone was going room to room trying to rob people in the middle of the night. The front desk clerk told me it was him knocking on the door the night before. He then rudely demanded my name again. It turns out that another staff member had somehow messed up the room numbers and marked us down in a different room. He was completely unapologetic and insisted on blaming the other employee repeatedly for making the mistake. I was very clear that he was the one with whom I was upset. I don’t remember the word “sorry” cross his lips at any point in time. It was our second night and we had received housekeeping so there was no reason for staff to think the room was unoccupied. ||I later told him that I would like a refund since he had handled the motel’s mistake in such a threatening and unprofessional manner. He shrugged and said “How?” in a way suggesting he didn’t know how to go about that. The manager’s name is Chandra. This man insisted he was not Chandra but I couldn’t tell if he was being truthful. I’ve seen other reviews that seem to be referring to this same man. It leads me to believe that he is either related to someone who owns the hotel or they have such a hard time finding staff that they have no choice but to keep their standards frighteningly low.||Also, the coffee is...

Read moreMy wife and I stayed at a Quality Inn in Blythe California and it was wonderful. We were so impressed that we made a reservation to stay at the Quality Inn Motel on 1190 Broadway Street in King City, CA.
When we checked in, we noticed that the desk clerk was quite rude. We were really tired, so we went to our room and unloaded our car. I noticed the worn out jacuzzi tub (unusable) and the dilapidated desk chair. When I sat down in the chair, it completely broke and I fell and hurt my left shoulder.
We tried to call the front desk, but nobody answered the phone, so I went to the office to report the problem with the chair. I showed him a picture of the worn out chair and his only reply was "I'm sorry." When I got back to the room, two young men (the front desk clerk and maybe the manager) came to our room and asked if we wanted to move to a different room.
We said no thanks as we had already unloaded our car and moved in. Just a side note, we are both senior citizens, were extremely tired from our journey and my wife is a Vietnam Veteran, and not in the best of health.
The manager stated "Well if you're not happy here you can leave." We said we don't want to leave, just make this right." We pointed out that this chair should have been replaced long ago because it's a safety hazard. The manager became irate and kicked us out stating it was his right to refuse service.
We packed up our car and left. We then got a call from the manager stating that the owner of the Quality Inn offered us a free room after being rudely kicked out. They called us by phone when we had already left the premises and checked into a new motel right around the corner.
We contacted the Corporate Office for Quality Inns and sent off an email regarding the faulty chair, worn out dirty tub and very poor customer service. In all our years, we have never been treated so disgracefully.
I would never recommend anyone to stay at this establishment. It tarnished the good name of Quality Inns. We wouldn't give it any stars. We had to give this place one star just to...
